Straight Outta Sweden 2 - "In It 2 Win It"
Nov 19, 2008
After a small success with our small film-project "Straight outta Sweden" last year, the decision was to try and make a follow-up and to also try to take the filming a bit more serious.
The result is now here in the form of: "Straight outta Sweden 2 - In it 2 win it". The film features mainly Swedish riders & the Swedish-scene and it is an attempt to get some recognition for some of the Swedish-talent.

The film is in HD-quality and you can watch it right here:
Straight Outta Sweden was first thought of during a trip to a Maxxis-cup race...
While driving the 40 hours from Sweden to Spain we were discussing making a DH/Freeride-movie (we also talked a lot of other crap for the rest of the 39 hours) from Sweden and talking about what we could name it etc. Then Simon came up with the name "Straight Outta Sweden" which we thought would fit very well with what we wanted the film to represent -young Swedish talent.
The purpose of the film is to try and get some recognition for the Swedish Freeride & downhill riders around the globe.
Sweden is a small country and with that comes a small scene but it is also a tight group of people and a lot of great riders & personalities.
There has been a few Swedish mountain bike films earlier but they never really made any impact outside of Sweden and our belief is that it was mostly since people actually had to buy them as a DVD. So the decision was to make a film which is free to download to anyone anywhere and at anytime.
We also felt that the original from 2007 wasn´t very seriously made, so to try and charge people money for it felt a bit crappy...
The riders featured in the film are:
Martin Söderström
Tim Hammar
Herman Ölund
Niklas Wallner
Robin Wallner
Simon Hedberg
There are also numerous other riders in the film.
Of course we would have liked to have had time to feature some more of the Swedish scene & riders but racing & filming at the same time is sometimes a bit hard, so this is what we have been able to come up with.

Nice vid and very good riding, looks kind a pro riding. However I think there should be some better work done on editing because the movie seems a bit chaotic you are jumping to much in between locations. There's world cup, suddenly there's some footage from Are, then something that looks like Gesunda WC again, then some dirt jumping... it's a pity that there's nothing but area 51 from Goteborg where I live
that is an amazing video guys ! you have the most amazing terrain there and an awesome bike park with loads of talented riders. considering going to Are instead of the usual french bike resorts for a holday now
Very impressive! I liked the diversity of the riding and you guys are all really talented! Its like there's nothing but good riders there. hooray Sweden!
I don't know what to say! Such a great vid, it seems that everything is perfect, the riders and their style, the locations and trails, the editing, the soundtrack somehow everything...Also great how this vid covers all types and facettes of our sport! I Love to come next year up to Skandinavia and rip your trails! I also recognized your youngster dennis dertell while ripping the german races and the fort williams world cup this season, what's about him? I would like to see him in the possible third issue of this, and i really would love to see a third issue! So all in all great work, keep on riding and filming, and by the way it is nice to see myself in the video watching the race...

Thats a sweet vid. Good music, amazing footage and dialed riding! Kinda makes me wish I was Swedish and helps me realize how much I hate Ohio!
sweet vidro guys... My dad lives next to upsala, just wondering how the riding is within reasonable drive from there?
Great job guys! Still watching it and it helps through these rainy days. I hope you guys are thinking about a sequel!
I like the Schladming part of the video!!! And the end is funfull
You have to be in a stage and sing this song while riding your bikes, and you'll see thousand of hands clapping for the rhythm
