i think the riders at woodward are a lot better than the ones at sgc but i guess it matters what type of riding you do

Its pricy, but think bout it this way.. one day at whistler without a bike or a pass and a place to stay costs close to 200-300 bucks..

flag bikenmiken (Feb 3, 2008 at 19:10)
If your spending $200-300 for 24 hours in whistler, you need to call around for better accomidations or drink less.

an 8 day camp with accomadation a bike and alot of other stuff is aroun $2000. so you kinda have to be a little rich to go there

$2000 for 8 days is cheap for that level of training.

The summer gravity camp was well worth my money, best week of my life. Ride all day with the pros, whichis like best in the world, I learned so much in that week. Ripping trail from 10 to 5oc in the evening. Free shoes, free jersey. Really good breakfest and dinner. The x-box was deadly as well. It's like a person couldn't ask for anymore. I'm deffently going up agine this summer the week before crankworxs. Like I'm the guy won who won the fork in the last picture, that ever made my week there better yet:p
I can't wait to go back up agine.

the majority of the prizes are picked out of a hat at random, including the fork, so everyone gets a fair chance.

I have gone to this camp, it is so worth the money, it is seriously one of the most awsome things i have done, the coaches are the shit. and you get hella tight stuff at the end of the week. If you have the money, you should def sign up for it.

Im in one of the pics, the one with all of the kids chilling on the grass, it was when they were handing out hella free shit.

Dig it.... so think of the cost this way guys..... you ride in your hometown for a full season.... say you go from level "2" riding to level "3" in a season without any kind of training....... for the most part right..? So then look at it this way.... so you start your season this year riding at a per-say level "2".. ride for 3/-4 months.. then go and take this course.... then ride for the rest for the season and end the season on a level " 8 "....... great instructors, great playground, and the foam pit can't be beat...... indispensable training for anyone that wants to step it up..... not a chance in hell you're going home without learning a tonn....

I've seen this camp and the campers have a blast. I'm a bit older (43) and have 'responsibilities' (family) so a week is a bit of a stretch. I have attended Richey Schley's 2-day camp at Whistler the week after Crankworx, with Wade as one of the instructors. Amazing how much one can learn riding with these giants of the Freeride world. Focus is on riding better, not necessarily focused solely on big air and the like, but cornering, flow and comfort anywhere on any mountain.

Don't get me wrong, I'd be all over the opportunity to ride with Shandro! The Schley camp is a different pricepiont, and the focus for the adult camp is more about developing the full range of skills. The link to last year's schedule is at http://www.whistlerbike.com/camps-lessons/camps/richie-schley/index.htm

Not true - last year Shandro, Joe Schwartz, Jordi Lunn, Tyler Morland, and Katrina Strand were full-time coaches. They took groups up for the full day, every day. Other coaches came and went, but they are not just there to make an appearance and sign a t-shirt, they are there to coach!
