With three months of riding under everyone's belts here in Kamloops, thanks to pedaling and shuttling, we're excited to keep the stoke going and open the Sun Peaks Bike Park this Saturday, June 26.

Details inside,

Toby Ianson, Trail Crew Coordinator, is calling it one of the most challenging builds to date with snow shoveling, and rainfall, but is feeling optimistic about opening day. "Let’s not dwell on the unfortunate weather we have been dealt this spring, because all things aside, the Bike Park is looking better than ever. I don’t think it has ever been this tacky, and it should stay tacky for a while. Something we are not accustomed to, living on the fringe of the desert climate of Kamloops."

The trail crew has been working hard shaping berms, raking trails, rebuilding jumps, and giving the Dirt Jumping Park a serious facelift with help from Brad Stewart and a big excavator.

Trail Openings & Closures
On Saturday, June 26, all trails will be open with the exception of Upper Sugar, Flower Power, Gummy Bear, Lower Mach, DH, and the Dirt Jumping Park, due to snow and running water.

Its a berm but its about six feet tall with all the speed you can imagine to take into it. The park is dialed all it needs is bike tires to pack it out. The crew killed it this spring bringing the park back to life all by hand. when you ride it you will be amazed by what they have done.
