As much as I would love to write a quick piece on this video, I really think it speaks for itself. However, here are a few more photos to enjoy from the shoot:
Ian on Crabapple Hits. By the end of shooting that jump, the rut was huge!
well there getting the back out and it looks really similar to a whip as well as the fact that its called support the whip. they should have come up with another name
...You're kidding right? They're using the first two shots to show what's not a whip, and what's not a scrub, then after they say support the whip, they show what a whip really is...Kinda obvious if you ask me.
Ian Morrison is some sort of Scrub Machine . . . I would like to see him and Bryn Atkinson have some scrub comp. - Three attempts - Judges scores based on;
1. See who can stick the lowest 2. Get the most sideways 3. Keep the same speed from leaving the lip to landing the transition.
As if that isn't a night time comp for next years Crankworx
Whips were just ok, scrubs were pretty sick. Basically taking off on the side walls of the tire, really cool! A bike park trail maintenance guys worst nightmare, a whole park full of guys riding like this haha.
Oh no? Read photo description - http://www.pinkbike.com/photo/5560599/ - Much like how a lot of snow boarders 'carve' off the lip to spin, this technique is hard on the jumps. I don't think we have to worry about the majority figuring this out too soon though!
well... a regular rotorburner is highly likely a notorious jump-landing-caser too. And if someone screws up jump take offs it is still nothing hard to fix comparing to brake bumps...
"A bike park trail maintenance guys worst nightmare" so true, Ive been to whistler a few times now over the last 4 years, and this year i have noticed how hammered the sides of the transitions are. I witnessed Ians rut too, it was full-on like a moto rut.
