Sam was looking great. The loose dirt suits the Kiwi and pulling out a 19th place qualification run confirmed this. Coming into race day Sam was feeling confident, with some good results behind him from Crankworx Whistler and the last few EWS rounds he knew he could let it go. Top 20 in the second split Sam had a big crash, clipping his outside pedal in a corner which threw him down into the next turn, unfortunately leading him to a heli and onwards to hospital with blood in the lung. Heal up soon dude! What to say about Baz, his last world cup! With his family on track supporting, the lad from the Congo gave it his all. Having a steady quali run he knew he also had a lot more to leave on track come race runs. This was apparent as he came down straight into the hot seat, staying there for a little while before getting bumped off by a barrage of French, Spanish and Swiss riders. After all was said and done though he was still good for 24th position, his best result of the year and a good end for the lad. All the best pilot! Fraser was battling hard with his ankle, after crashing big in Whistler it was heavily strapped to try and help him take the abuse Andorra had to throw. Not feeling himself Fraser struggled and sadly didn't make it through to the big day. A sad way to finish the season but injuries can have this effect on any rider. - Thomas Gaffney, Team Videographer |

Back in the day when Dirt ran it there used to be a track walk one, a practice one, a qualifying one and a finals one. We're lucky if we get 2 per race these days.
Best results of the year for the team in Vallnord
Congrats all on a great season, and good luck for next year. Heal up well those who are injured, my condolences for those who have lost family and friends, and congrats Peaty on an awesome career to end on a high!

The way Greg was talking about changes, kinda sounds more like changes due to Santa Cruz ownership; sold to the Dutch conglomerate Pon Holdings.
