He knew what he wanted: big, floaty jumps in the ideal location and with the perfect slope and sublime dirt. So when he saw an opportunity to build his own slopestyle course in the Coast Gravity Park, Logan picked up some tools and started sculpting. A colossal build like this is never a one-man endeavor, though. Logan’s vision was made reality with the sweat and skills of machine operator Darren Hemstreet, The Coastal Crew and his dad. And when the machines went quiet and the dust settled, it was time to capture on camera what Logan means by big and floaty. This is The Backwoods - Logan’s Peat’s dream set.

This guy has such a distinct style, its great
  • 13 0
They did a really good job of emphasizing the bike noise. it makes the bike sound super fast and dialed.
  • 4 1
Let's all also appreciate the limited slo-mo in this video... Just the right balance. Filmmakers, take note!
  • 2 1
@kdstones do people even still use slowmo in amounts that warrant complaining? I feel like nobody notable has been allowed to run an un-ramped slowmo clip in over two years for fear of the Pinkbike critics coming in swinging their keyboards. Hell, i still see comments from people applauding videos for not using dubstep. What year is this!?

Except you can't buy that bike. Which is a shame because I totally need a slope bike for all the rad 3 foot tables and sick 20 degree whips I am throwing down these days.

I have owned numerous Santa Cruz from 1999-today and every one rides nice. The Nomad, Heckler, & Superlight all run ricely still. The 510 or Bronson is my next SC purchase. Having a homie like Logan and my UK hero, Ratty, riding them I am stoked. Top it off with Minnaar.

How can you not just love Logan Peat? He seems like a truly nice lad, who also happens to be one of the most talented riders on the planet. I love watching edits like this, where the riders are free to ride in their own style, with no pressure from judges. Awesome edit.

Man those jumps look so perfect and huge! And Logan is throwin down some serious tricks that I have never seen him do!

All that riding looked so effortless! Actually, I'm glad being at work now. Could have gone biking, found big rock and nose case it first try

LOGAN PEAT for prez. I am banking on our local bro to win Rampage this year or the next. I have seen him progress for years now and he never fails to step up his game every six months in what I see as a Hurculean task. This dude is off the hook....bring on RAMPAGE!
