I did something similar about 15 years ago, from Les Orres to Menton with UCPA. Back then it was hardtail, v-brake, 40mm travel fork or so... I have seen that UCPA still organizes this journey. It was awesome, but it took me more than a week to recover physically. The guide was doing it for the first time so we also got lost a fair number of times. This article reminds me very good memories. For the anedocte one of the guys in the group fell in a electrified fence of the national parc du Mercantour. It is different from the typical cow electrified fence. It was pretty rough on him...

I did a really similiar trip to yours from the look of it just the week before you guys. So i know how easy it is to get lost in this area (and that was with a guide)it sure is wilderness when your in those hills. A really cool article in a great looking format, what proggramme did you use?

That is a fantastic layout, I have a art college portfolio submission in the coming weeks and I need to submit example projects in a PDF, am I right in thinking this was saved in a PDF format or does anyone have a good suggestion?

Felt like a little kid watching 'Stand by Me' whilst reading that. Captured the adventure perfectly, shared with mates.....Timeless. Fair play fellas and thank you for reminding me why I ride.

Are those words handwritten or some type of font?
  • 3 0
One of the first questions that occurred to me too, but it's a font. Look at the two places it says "Ross Measures" in the title, they're literally identical.
  • 1 0
Yes dude. Should've noticed that. It seems the font is "Sue Ellen Francisco".

Man, looks like it's a hard life working for SRAM... "Here Ross, have a full XX1 group, Pike, Monarch, Guides, various other bits and bobs, stick them on that carbon Yeti you paid the distribution price for, and go ride in France and Italy for a week." Yeah yeah I know, he probably worked really hard for years to get whatever job he has besides "story teller" that means he gets to do this, but still. Some people have all the luck.

There is zero luck involved with getting a position in the cycling industry.
  • 6 1
 There is also zero money.
