Enduro is just what we used to call mountain biking before there were a million different bikes for every slightly different surface and taste. It was still fun back then and we all used to ride together more than we do now as some of us have gone off into DH and others to ride DJ/park. Now people can focus on their particular favourite form of riding and buy equipment specifically for it. This could be seen as progress for each discipline of MTB or further dissolution of MTB as a whole. Enduro bikes have been good to get everyone back together for a good ol fashioned shred- it must be said it doesn't make for the most exciting videos however. Much like porn, I'd rather being doing than watching :-)
  • 138 8
Yes, but also like porn its nice to see it done properly once in a while
  • 15 11
Isnt that the beauty of "enduro" though? There is no 'proper' way to do it!
  • 46 8
Ha, ha, Scumbag, since when was porn classed as doing it properly? Try jizzing in your lasses face and explain it away with, "I'm just doing it properly love"!

@dglobulator my lasse expects me to exactly do that
o jeah and I sgned up for the next enduro race in Italy
did I do it right?

I've been riding mountain bikes since 1987 so figure I've seen a few things come and go. The current trend for enduro is a good thing in my eyes as it does seem to be encouraging a lot more people into the sport. The proliferation of trail centres around the UK is also welcome although I understand that some people see it as taking people away from the real essence of the sport. However, there is nothing stopping you from getting out into the wilds after you have cut your teeth on some of the local woodland centres if you should so wish. The whole ethos behind mountain biking is the ability to just go where you please within reason and explore new trails and basically be adventurous. As I say to most youngsters coming into the sport after my advice .... just get out and ride.

whats this gay speed up footage? is that's the way that our sport progressing? by speeding up footage? hahahah
  • 11 2
A very interesting film. IMHO, showing the absolute need to cut corners or ride off trail to save precious seconds for the win, supports the notion that we should keep Enduro "Racing" on ski resort properties. Keep Enduro "Racing" the hell off XXX pornographically pristine and tight single track, please.

I have three bikes; now I look back and I don't know how. But my stump jumper comp carbon are the best I can climb down hill very well and jump in a skate park and bmx places very well. I don't know why but I can't sale my other bikes.

Im F**king late for work because of this

At least you got to watch it! My mrs decided to have a meltdown over some crap that doesn't matter! Was it worth buying?

Haha I was thinking the same thing!! Great video!!.. Now back to studying...

Ich habe eine kleine Schadenfreude when I read this. But well, good luck with the exams!

I now lose yet another hour of my sleep tonight. Thanks, PinkBike!
  • 7 2
In the library right now fighting off the urge to watch this. Physics is more fun anyways right?
  • 53 4
Soooooo much sped up riding footage. Why, just why? Show it as it was.
  • 14 0
 totally agree... shameful
  • 8 0
I'm with you man ....thought it was just me. The one thing I was really looking forward to seeing turned out to be the least interesting to watch. It looks very choppy and unnatural. I still enjoyed the movie though and give props to Tom (producer/editor) ...being a video maker myself I know firsthand this must have been a massive project to undertake.
  • 8 0
somehow the Parkin brothers have a way to make this look way better without resorting to speeding things up... I understand that some of it was done to match the music but it's... just... wrong...
  • 7 0
Whyyyy. It ruins it. I'd rather watch a slow rider at normal speed.
  • 43 1
i thought it was good. it wasn't a thrash video and wasn't supposed to be.

i stopped racing 14 years ago because it sucked and i started racing enduro last year because a friend told me i should give it a go. for me, enduro races are perfect. super laid back, i don't have to try if i don't want to, none of the xc sufferfest. i place almost dead middle every race (amateur) and that's fine with me because i'm not there to win. i'm there to have a good time, ride with my friends, do a little racing, and go for a little ride afterwards. finish the day with a beer and what's not to like?

anyway, the best thing to come out of enduro is that bikes don't suck anymore.
  • 38 0
out of "enduro" came that fattest wave of true all mountain bikes we've ever known!
  • 30 3
Anybody that complains that this is boring is missing the point. Mountain bike racing is hardly a spectator sport. Even the Downhill world cup footage does not do justice to what the top pros are doing. Everyone needs to accept mountain biking will never be a mainstream spectator sport. Its about the experience of riding/racing your bike and this movie does a great job to open up peoples eyes to what is going on out there with the modern day organized Enduro scene. It is something the majority of mountain bikers can relate to. Enduro is not trying to convert anybody like some cult. It's out there and if you want to join then please come out and join in the fun. If it's not for you then fine, but why put the discipline down? Look how many highly decorated riders show up and have a great time racing Enduro. Why say this movie is boring? It's a free showing, nobody is forcing you to sit through it. A lot of people put a lot of effort into this movie and for any of you to hate on it is pretty sad and short sighted.
I applaud any promoter who has been willing to put on a quality Enduro as they are not easy events to do. I also applaud Devon and his crew for committing to this movie. I think they did a great job.
  • 19 6
Everyone who thinks that someone's boredom is invalid is missing the point. I got bored when watching that vid, It got better after fadt forward - can you unbore me with your arguments? No.

I'm glad someone made a movie about racing format that I am glad exists. But the whole thing is boring to follow... Fun to practice, boring to watch - unlike fail compilarions on youtube - do I want to concince you to find it boring? no
  • 3 2
Waki, its not the producers fault U have a short attention span Wink I practice my attention span with 3 hours of law lectures every day, watching this was like a summer breeze. May I suggest you follow swedish politics, that will harden any mind to endure(o) these kind of vids.

On a serious note; I really enjoyed the film! Much appreciated.
  • 7 6
Yes, you also missed the point - of having an opinion. If someone says :it was boring, I did not necessarily mean that it is producers fault. There may be not enough water in the whole sport. It did not need to be any deeper thought behind that expression beither. That's why ignoring someone's opinion can be good for all parties.

BTW - After living 24 years in Poland, Following Swedish politics is like watching soft porn in mute with Greek subtitles.
  • 3 1
No, you "should ta seden dit du kommer", in Sweden you are not allowed to have your own opinon and I happened to check in on PC media and they said it was not boring.

LOL on that last part.
  • 7 0
Waki. Opinions are like arseholes. Everyone has one. You always have an opinion but it's always seems you are not interested in anyone else having one. I liked the movie. I also plan on racing a local enduro race next year. Downhill was fun but hard to stay at the level required. Just my opinion.
  • 4 0
Waki the only thing that doesn't bored you is typing for witty comment's!!!!
  • 3 0
@T-Bot, You're missing the last part of that saying. Its "Everyone has one, and they all stink!"
  • 1 0
While DH or Enduro may never be the live spectator sport that baseball or soccer is, it can definitely be filmed to capture the excitement of it. The top live sport TV producers can find a way to capture the sport perfectly. All it takes is $$$. It's really not much different than XGames or Olympics filming border cross, which is exciting as hell to watch when done right.
  • 25 6
Ppl can critique the enduro hype as much as they want, but it seems to make both racing and riding more interesting - both to riders and spectators. That's got to be good as more interest attracts sponsors and media, hopefully leading to more trails and better lift-support. That even helps DH riders poking fun of it all.
  • 22 14
Explain how it's interesting for spectators ?

I see the opposite , maybe fun to take part in but sleep inducing to watch.

This is not the format that's gonna put MTB into the limelight and draw people to the sport , I mean they even say multiple times that enduro is what normal riders do every weekend , hardly selling it are they ?
  • 13 2
Good question, bigburd. My thinking is that (1) it may be more interesting to watch as ppl easily can see themselves riding the same trails, only somewhat slower than the best. Further (2), it may also more interesting to watch as the crowd racing is much bigger, making more think "if he/she can do it, I can as well" and thus more engaging. I personally prefer riding and watching DH, but the number of ppl watching and saying "I wouldn't survive that course" creates a gap between the riders and the spectators that only those who are a bit more hardcore adrenaline junkies actually want to pursue. Finally (3), being less extreme and attracting riders from many biking disciplines - from CX and XC to DH - means that ppl that followed those different disciplines are also more likely to 'get it' while watching.
  • 10 10
But that gap between what us mortals consider possible and what the pro's can do is what makes some thing thrilling to watch and gives you some thing to aspire to , to me at least.

The main reason I think it makes for unexciting spectator viewing is that the format just doesn't work for TV/live stream , they can just about make it look exciting in a highlights video but that of course lacks the excitement and anticipation of not knowing the results.
  • 4 1
I get exactly where you are coming from, bigburd, as that's how I also feel personally. I just don't think I am a typical person! After all, I follow extreme skiing and that is NOT a big crowd for what I believe is a similar reason.
  • 6 1
I think both of u guys are making good points. A lot of it is no live coverage. The Rob Warner commentary is Half the reason i watch the WC. He is so damn into it that it makes everybody else watching it so hyped up "Off line like a Russian border!!!"
  • 3 3
Extreme/big mountain/back country skiing is probably the coolest sport in the world , the speed , the height , the scenery ! Razz
If I could choose to be really into any sport in the world I think it would be skiing.
Great to watch on TV/screen but again probably not so great for live spectating due to impossible locations and not exactly an accessible for most people either.

dirtmountainbike.com/videos/bonkers-ski-chute.html#MeHMwhlBDgOJecYy.97 dunno if you seen this yet but WOW !
  • 2 0
Hehe - totally agree there, bigburd, and yeah - that is an awesome clip. We're cliffjumping off topic now though Wink
  • 3 0
@bigburd - yeah skiing is great fun, but it's just not as readily available as mountain biking. i love both, but MTB always wins because you can pretty much do it anywhere.
  • 1 0
watching people takin on a giant set in teahupoo is pretty cool as well, bigburd!
  • 1 1
But yeah we have gone off topic some what there Razz

But at the same time all the other cool sports that we , and other posters have mentioned , is that they have a WOW factor that comes with being at the sharp end of an extreme sport , and to me Enduro doesn't have that .

You have to be some what into the sport of mountain biking to appreciate how talented these guys are riding gnarly trails on ' little ' bikes that to the general public look like the ultimate mountain bikes in the world.
  • 1 0
That's what i like about bike riding/racing, is that it's something you can just do on the weekends (or weekday mornings/nights with alarms/lights).
f*ck selling me something i can't do on my home trails, Enduro is a way for competition heads to fight out "who's the best at f*cking around on a mountain bike, chill uphill n bomb down."
  • 1 0
Käften svenne haha skoja bra sagt!

I agree. It s fun to do bit it s Boeing to see
  • 23 6
I only watched the first ten minutes and was wondering... it's just me or some scenes look speeded up?
  • 6 1
so true... no way a whip can be taken back in a thousands of a second
  • 16 0
Why is every riding scene either slowmo
or speeded up?? Looks so unnatural. Would prefer less talking and more biking in real time!
  • 11 0
Thanks, Pinkbike! Technically, it's a great movie. However, this has too much slow motion and accelerated sequences for my taste, it breaks the rhythm of the riding and the film as a whole. Also, a bit less marketing overexposure would have been better. Enduro is now damaged by its own hype. Starts with the film's title, btw.
  • 12 0
Enduro is what will draw riders in general to compete. Which is exactly what everyone in the industry wants to see. Media attention, people spending dough on MTB stuff, people enjoying their products. It's a win win.
  • 16 4
All the riding parts are at least 1.25x of normal speed or slow motion, slow motion is good but to make it a lot faster than it actually is make riders look like toy dummies bouncing through the track.
  • 8 2
i was looking for somebody to say this, its so fucking true its hard to watch... i watched the beginning and stopped once adam craig started because its obviously sped up
  • 13 1
Because not everyone in this planet wants to stick their butts solely on DH or XC bikes throughout their entire lives. Like it or not, Enduro is here to stay. Smile
  • 4 0
maybe if I I could afford both, but even then in a perfect world i'de have a dh, xc, and an all mountain rig in my stable
  • 6 0
 N+1
  • 9 0
I like enduro as a racing concept, but this was a 50min commercial for everything that's wrong with MTB..... Sped up footage that was annoying to watch, and the middle section of the movie where they talked about enduro bikes was basically a commercial for every MTB company out there that makes a carbon bike or carbon wheels.
If they just could have done the Squamish section at regular speed that would have been amazing.
Listing to the history of the EWS (things that happened last year) wasn't really all that exciting. Anyone who follows enduro closely already knows all those things and events.
  • 23 14
Enduro, has crazy mad skills involved. It's fast, technical and the riders do quite a lot with a smaller travel bike. Having said all that.... It makes for some boring freaking video. Say what you will about North Shore Freeride, but you could watch hours of people hitting skinnies, ladder gaps, big drops and wild wooden stunts. Those were the days....
  • 12 11
That is nonsense- look at the way they rage through those puddles man. Ecstatic.
  • 9 10
 tworldsmine, well said sir.
  • 33 4
I think enduro is probably something that's better experienced than watched
  • 9 11
I rarely do this but I had to skip so much of this video , well filmed or w/e but man I almost fell to sleep.

Enduro is never going to make a good spectator sport , sure watching a good rider shred is fun but the format makes for some incredibly dull viewing , can't be live streamed in any meaningful or interesting way like DH/4x or even free ride like rampage.

Might be fun taking part perhaps but as a spectacle I would say it's very anti climatic.
  • 2 0
i think this is the misunderstanding on why a lot of people hates enduro. it was made for the personal experience and not for watching and to be watched. as you can see, the majority of the people who joins this race rides because of the personal satisfaction that they are getting by just riding their bikes no need for any kind of hype no crazy antics, just purely riding the trails that they love and they don't want to show-off like some of the other people here. yes DH/FR really looks amazing and nothing can take that away but not every single person in this planet wants to do that in a normal basis. Is it really hard to understand?
  • 14 2
 so annoyed with sped-up footage
  • 6 0
I agree.. Made portions of the video almost unwatchable..
  • 12 0
That was pretty rad, and free. Thanks pinkbike!
  • 9 2
Enduro is just a race format. Nothing more! I don´t understand why the hating. If it´s god dammed boring for you, well just don´t watch it. I think XC is boring as F**K, So i don´t spend 15 minutes of my life watching an XC Competition on pinkbike!
It´s like you have a neccesity of making fun of the Enduro Format. Finally, you want it or not, thanks to you, Enduro is getting all the attention it needs to grow. If it wasn´t for all the hating, Enduro might be a lot smaller as a sport than it is.
  • 6 2
people hate on it because of aggressive marketing and over exposure. We used to call these bikes "all mountain bikes" and the races were called super D's. Then the industry coined enduro and acted as though a revolution had started. When that momentum slowed it was time for the 650b "revolution".
  • 3 2
I get it. But please, everytime the word "Enduro" appears on PinkBike, there´s a bunch of Mountain Bike idealists that think because they ride bikes before walking they can make fun or hate the "Enduro Format" right away. It´s kind of boring now. At first it was funny. I laughed with the "Enduro jokes" and the constant phrase "sooo enduro" or "what´s enduro", etc. Cut the crap and accept the god dammed race format once and for all.
  • 1 0
XC is quasi an introspective competition, an intimate adventure, whereas DH is a short show with an adrenaline pulsion... enduro is a synthesis
  • 7 0
Enduro is a great format, but that was pretty hard to watch. Mountain bike racing is about speed, what's the point in slowing it down every few seconds! Just because you can do fancy stuff with the editing, doesn't mean you have to use it constantly............... Style over substance.
  • 8 2
personally i see enduro as the big rise in mountain biking its not too extreme like DH but not too boring like XC. its at the hearts of biking having a good times with your friends. its hard to broadcast but more easily accessible than dh or xc you just get a bike and ride!
  • 15 6
 Prepare for the enduro hate...
  • 12 2
 WARNER!!! Kill trail
  • 7 1
Ripper rides, fabulous footage, expertly edited to a super soundtrack. insightful interviews with cool ppl who kick ass on bikes! Bitchin' flick PB, Thanks !!!
  • 5 1
I was actually looking forward to watching this, but shut it off after 6 minutes. It's not that I found it boring, it's just that I can't stand sped up footage. I wish these filmmakers could get it through their heads that sped up footage does no one any good. It makes a film less appealing to hardcore mountain bikers, while at the same time making the sport look like a joke to those unfamiliar with it. Is the sport not interesting enough on it's own merits that it needs to be presented falsely in order to make it seem like it is? I would never show any mtb film with sped up footage to a non-mountain biker if I wanted them to see what a great sport it is. I'd love to watch this film, if only the riding segments were presented in a realistic manner.
  • 8 1
Enduro is riding with friends until you all are to tired to do another lap,or they shut off the chairlift.
  • 8 1
Well I know what I'm watching when I get home from work!
  • 8 1
Enjoyed that, viro the virus song choice aswell, sick Big Grin
  • 1 0
do you by chance know what the first song on the vid was?
  • 1 0
@frijolemoreno, all of the song names are listed in the credits. The first song in the film during the garage sequence was Ursa Minor (Neutron Mix) - Celldweller and the song for the Squamish segment was Hipster Shakes - Black Pistol Fire. We're glad you guys enjoyed the film!
  • 8 1
Thanks, its official, I'm calling in sick to work.
  • 3 0
Enduro certainly makes me more interested in getting back into mtb racing. The vibe is old school and the technology is new school. Both drive the sport forwards, like mountain biking in the mid 1990's if you are old enough to remember the scene. Our company focuses on Gran Fondo type road events which mirror what is happening in the enduro world. Perhaps anything that gets people riding, training and racing is good for the sport in general. Great movie! Shawn Powell www.spcarbon.com
  • 4 0
Maybe more historical images or videos showing the begining of enduro, with less technology and more "first enthusiasm" going crescendo would have create a real sensation of rise.
anyway, good anglo-saxon video Wink
  • 4 0
So bored of hearing the definition of Enduro. Is anybody still confused? I will be happy if I never have to hear that it's "all about getting together and riding with your mates" again.
  • 1 0
But I really is about getting together and riding with your mates.Oh wait... haha
  • 9 3
the rise of vinny-T > the rise of enduro

  • 6 0
well it looks like my coursework in for tomorrow isn't getting done...
  • 4 1
As a downhiller, i am seriously thinking about changing to Enduro or maybe just doing both as i find it really interesting and as much as i enjoy watching the Rat i also enjoy watching Graves and Moseley.
  • 2 0
You should give it a try depends on the series. Some races its just 5 DH runs on smaller travel bikes. You will have a blast not like the DH one and done run.
  • 3 1
Enduro, isn't that riding up a hill and then riding down, sounds like freeriding, which smells like mountain biking. Have a missed something, I've been dong this for years. The marketing bullshit in this sport has outdone itself.
  • 2 0
Maybe its my age but i really enjoyed that, i'm the wrong side of 40 and enjoy riding / racing enduro, although i,ve been riding MTB's since 1989 its only recently that i've been able to pitch myself accurately against my riding mates and complete strangers. its also given me that drive i needed to keep me riding through the cold wet English winter,

It doesent really bother me what its called, i rode ENDURO on a CRM250 Motorbike and enjoyed that as much as i enjoy it on a Mountain Bike.

The sad bit is i can remember Fluoro Kit and bikes from the last time it was out, the good bit is i,m still riding!
  • 2 0
I'm gonna use surfing as an analogy here...
Watching guys pull into overhead, bombing Pipeline or Teahupoo makes for great f*cking television...but I have neither the balls or skills to surf either spot in those conditions. On the other hand, I can watch guys rip Trestles on television AND surf those same waves. It may not make as exciting of a television show, but there is something to be said for watching the pro's rip the same waves/trails that I can....
  • 3 0
Meeting Joe Breezer would be like a motor head meeting Henry Ford. Amazes me how truly young Mtn Biking is and how far it's come. Now all we need to do is keep electric "bikes" off the trails and called something else.
  • 7 1
I'm calling it. This will get more comments than any other video of 2014.
  • 3 1
im curious how many people who jump on the hipster make fun of enduro bandwagon "online" are saying the same thing on their local trails. Your local trails....not groomed downhill pumptracks at whistler.....your "local" trails. Nobody, because the majority of us on this website do this style of riding on most of our rides. The market asked for this format, they got it and now its not cool to like it....online. Its an image thing. We want our brands to emulate the people we want society to think we are. Same as Iphone and Android users. We want to be personified by the brands we use. Guess what most of us dont need "online" friends. I love Enduro....i dont care if its not cool....yet. Grats to the men, women and brands who are putting their butts on the line to bring us the future, TY.
  • 3 0
thank you thank you thank you, to all who were involved in putting this together and also Pinkbike for (probably paying) to have this premiere on the best mtn bike site in the world!!
  • 6 1
I have classes tomorrow and I need sleep......ughh
  • 2 1
Good statements from Keene and Graves about why enduro is fun to participate in. The rest was sorta boring.

It's a bit of a conundrum for mountain bike companies these days. Do we invest in enduro racing, which is the bikes most people buy and ride? Or do we invest in DH racing, which is what everybody wants to watch?
  • 2 0
I own a hard tail, and a DH bike.......though, I admittedly miss my 150mm 26" trail bike the most.
  • 1 0
You nailed it! Woke up this morning to this video, and I couldn't stop watching. I am an Enduro nerd, after this year. Loved all the Oregon Enduros, EWS in Whistler and the CB Ultra. Lets get more of these events going, BIKE+ENDURO=BIG FUN
  • 1 0
Enduro o whatever called, ist what we do in our level every ride day. I was riding all the trails of EWS in Punta Ala and was amazing, and already repeat for 3 years and i just dreaming about Finale next year Smile
life is a ride " la bici es todo "
  • 3 1
So it's Enduro when you use more slow-mo and sped up footage in your edits than regular speed.? Oh and you have to use an extravagant amount of the word "enduro" and try to explain it as basic mountain byking. Maybe?
  • 1 0
OK... what about me?? thats a really confuse situation. we all know that enduro racing is NOT the soul of the sport, but is fun in the same time, even been the pro side. In other side, we have the Freaks, the freeriders. The question is: which one of these better represents the sport?? the pros or the f*cking freaks??
  • 1 0
Great footage. Really enjoyed Tracy and Anne-Caro's input (Anne-Caro IS quiet! just met her, most humble queen of shred)

A bit too much product placement. Yes, sponsors, I know you paid for it from the opening credits and I'm grateful you did so. Thank you. No need to slo-mo every f*cking logo...Don't let your sponsorship detract from the riding or filmmaking, ok?

But for a free video, incredible production and it made me wanna go ride...and maybe even race.
  • 1 0
Overall i give it the movie a B-, people use to crap on Clay porter films for too much talking but this is worse. The filming was good but i would much rather watch the Parkin brothers edits(dirtTV). The filming and editing are better.

I do have to give the producers credit for all the female rider coverage. Its nice to see some women getting the coverage they deserve. I think its the first MTB film i have seen in years that had a women riding segment.
  • 1 0
I like the format of the events, I like the mixture of people with different riding backround styles. I love enduro bikes, bought one and wont part with it! Enduro had definetly refined the bikes, also if you ride it all you skills grow too. One bike that can do it all and do it well, puts a smile on my face, just go ride, everywhere and anywhere.
  • 1 0
i just watched this after reading the comments.... can someone point out a section of sped up footage for me to look at? all i saw was real time....as in these guys and girls go FAST. i liked it the angles shot were great. good usage of different POV and aerial footage. plus i like the merged shots with multiple riders through the one frame seeing the different line choices and speeds through corners. if anything underuse of slow mo was refreshing
  • 8 3
nice one even if it miss CG....

Wicked film really enjoyed it Needs a bit more Matt hunter and cam mccaul though. Be interesting to see some good extras with some good in depth bike checks I'm a bike geek I love riding, building, talking and watching bikes!

Really enjoyed this - only real gripes are that more of Tweedlove, Scotland wasn't shown - the skill shown there to ride the steep slippery rooty trails would have been great to see more of. Also, one doesn't need clipless pedals to unweight a bike... it's just as possible on flats!!

Solid piece, needed more weir!!!! Godfather!!!!! And more tomfoolery(Cruz...weir)

Those that can't dh, enduro, From a racing format, I think its great, it appeals to a larger population. Bringing the sport closer to the everyday rider, and positioning it between dh and cross country. dh and rampage are incredible to watch, but realistically only 1% of the population of riders can actually pull off a 360, let alone a forward flip. Kudos to you if you can. So I think that enduro is cool that way, its the race format for those that can't do 30 foot gaps. I would like to know what size wheels are most common in enduro...

Actually I expected more from this movie , they have mentioned only the race ambient. I wanted to see more of Allmountain , because it's really what every body do when they take their bikes on sunday's !

All I know is that I want to give this sport a big ol kiss for the Bronson, the SB6c, and the HD3. I'm the real winner of #Enduro.

bad bike movie title, or worst ever bike movie title?
  • 3 2
PHEW!! This thread is exactly what the internet needed as there was a shortage of enduro bashing. We all ride bikes and support trails. This is the stupid snowboarder vs skier thing all over again.....
  • 2 0
Summon the enduro gods!!! Enduro, enduro, enduro, 650b, 650b Clipless, single crown, halflid! That should do it, if it doesn't work, I didn't tell you.

Congrats to Devon, Tom and the entire crew. These guys work very hard to promote mountain biking. Oregon Enduro Series totally rocks! Can't wait for next season

Great stuff. For me, this is what mountain biking is. Love watching downhill, but this is my kind of riding (except I can only go about a quarter of their speed, lol).
  • 1 0
I decided to play a drinking game watching this afternoon . Each time the word "Enduro" was said, I took a sip. I got alcohol poisoning. Great riding, though.
  • 2 0
I liked it but i get the feeling they "speed up" alot of the footage....unless it was just my eyes.
  • 2 0
While I liked the "movie" it's not something I'd ever consider buying... sorry...

Managed the first 20 mins - ZZzzzzz
  • 15 14
Gotta agree dude , that was dull and boring , this type of riding might work on the weekends with a few mates but fuck me it's a boring race format to watch.
  • 11 11
 I made it 9 minutes.
  • 10 10
I skipped every time they started repeating what the last rider said , made it to the end in good time
  • 9 12
 5 mins for me
  • 6 9
@bigburd, some times when a video is boring to watch, maybe, just maybe, it's not the race format involved but, maybe, the video itself which sucks. They lost me at the handfiving in Squamish... "booyaaa! now let's get out of here!" and I love enduro.
  • 2 1
1st of all , great user name ! And when I say the format sucks , I mean in terms of viewing as a spectator , the format as a race seems spot on to me.
  • 4 3
I made it to the end of 'enduroing' down Half Nelson. "Let's get outta here!!" I did.
  • 1 0
@bigburd thanks Smile it came in a moment of anger after trying a couple of my usual ones and a dozen of the unsual and getting the not available error... something like "come on just give me a f***ing username, someone is *wrong* on pinkbike and I *have* to reply asap!" Agree about enduro being a poor spectator format.
  • 4 1
once the guy started playing with baby toys in the playpen, i just couldnt take it anymore
  • 1 4
Looks i'm not the only one who couldn't stand the whole vid... Also i cant see this racing format related to the riding i or any average mountain biker do on a weekend with their buddies like they're trying to sell it, just my opinion.
  • 2 1
don't get me wrong. l think enduro racing is pretty cool. maybe l'll get in shape and try it someday. the movie just wasn't doing anything for me...

  • 1 0
 yeah i had the same ... :p
  • 6 5
 Oh look- mountain biking!
  • 4 7
I still don't really get it why they call it ENDURO, as it's used to be ALL MOUNTAIN: we rode up and then down the moutains. I guess some marketing hype doesn't hurt the sales of some new gear. Remember those 160mm AM bikes just below the Freeride ? Somehow they got ditched and a new category emerged: hard ,
n' heavy as freeride, fast 'n fun as AM, but in the end the fun is in riding and enjoying the ride. It's very hard to convey that to the spectator, it's a rider's experience.
  • 6 7
I find it funny, all the comments that don't suck the dick of this boring video get neg repped, yet, most of the comments on this video are of it's boredom.

but bro, do you even enduro bro? +props to you.
  • 4 7
nothing against "enduro" but everything we love to do does not have to or should always have to translate into a slick presented package. kinda like AC's approach! i agree, bigburd. it was a bit too long and flat as a whole. i think it would have worked better with each segment as small edits as a series.
  • 1 0
yea zzzz. Even the riding scenes were kinda zzzzz. I think were all spoiled by big hit movies
  • 10 9
 totally amazing
