 Much love Steve, in a difficult year in so many ways around the world you gave the entire sport of MTB a huge grin to end on. Long Live the King! Cheers!

 I hope we'll see him as a new commentator !!!

 @RedBurn: I agree, would be a winning combination in the booth if Peaty got in there. I always felt they should have rotated the commentating team, Claudio has always been a safe pair of hands along Rob and the course previews are always a highlight but its become a little safe over all in my opinion. Some female racer input with the likes of Tracy Moseley would be refreshing..yes even- shock horror- during the men's event(!). Contriving these things is always hard, and viewers rightly smell a rat a mile off when this happens usually but change would be good into next year.

 I'll quote Hunter for this one;
"There he goes. One of God's own prototypes. Some kind of high powered mutant never even considered for mass production. Too weird to live, and too rare to die."

 This makes me sad to see both him and ratboy not going to be on the world cup seen racing anymore.

 60 comments about a 25min film of the greatest personality we've ever had in the World Cup series and over 110 comments on a short story about a dropper post on the home page - shows how this place has changed. Sort your priorities out people!

 couldn't agree more.

 @spinko: Quite sad really

 Funny, I told my little boy that both Peaty and Ratboy were retiring. He said "But you can't have a World Cup without Peaty and Ratboy." It's gonna be a different sport now that's for sure. Too many goodbyes in 2016.

 Im not going to disagree but I hope this means we get more 50to01, gritty British edits which really sum up what riding is to me. That's what I'm looking forward to.

 Cedric said it best, and poignantly at that. I commend him for doing so and also being the guy that brings a floppy two sided dildo into the pits. You shall be missed Peaty.
  • 2 0
 The Dildo was our companion on a 24 hour non-stop roadtrip from Manchester to Andorra. Turns out Gracia is the only Frenchman who finds a 18 inch double ender funny! Everyone else was less than impressed haha!

 XTR brakes??
  • 8 2
 he runs an XTR front and Saint rear iirc. Something about preferring the modulation of the XTR on the front as opposed to the more binary feel of the Saint.
  • 2 2
 Sure it's not just XTR levers, Saint calipers? Save a few grams...
