2. A gathering of mountain cyclists on some of the most amazing unsung trails around to ride the 'best of the best' mountain sleds.
The camping/riding festival that put TORCA on the map, continues to evolve and it just keeps getting bigger and better! Just like last year, this event includes three days of camping and riding. In the past, this event was previously open to TORCA members only, but this year’s events are open to
EVERYONE! That’s right, you don’t have to be a member (but members get a steep discount to the event, as TORCA is a 100% volunteer staffed, 501c3 non-profit that is supported solely on its membership dues.
If you've never attended our little gathering on Mt. Lemmon, here's a rundown of the fun:
Freeride Friday, brought to you by Guerilla Gravity & Rocky Mountain: Our weekly shuttle ride gets a once a year upgrade! Not only can you demo some big bikes on the gem that is
Aspen Draw trail, but shuttles are included, courtesy of Homegrown MTB! Afterward, meet up at the group site at Molino Basin Campground for a Spaghetti Dinner provided by Risky Business restaurant!
Poker Ride & Bike Demo Saturday: The original event that got the ball rolling on this whole shebang! Riders are shuttled to the top of
Bug Spring trail. As they ride down the trail, they'll encounter dealers that will give them a card for their poker hand. The riders with the best hands will get to choose from a deep pool of prizes from some our sport's best companies. After that, shuttles will be provided on the
Prison Camp trail, to demo bikes from a plethora of manufacturers, including Specialized, Niner, Ibis, Guerilla Gravity, Trek, Giant, Liv, Rocky Mountain, & others. Additionally, lunch will be provided by Risky Business restaurant!
Saturday evening: Horseshoes tournament brought to you by Five Ten & Ryders Eyewear!
Sunday: The second annual TORCA FUNduro, brought to you by Giant. What's a FUNduro? It's a 3 segment, timed stage event down the (In)famous, April 2015 "Trailforks Trail of the Month,"
La Milagrosa trail, but with a twist: The top honor of the day goes to the rider closest to the average time, aka, the rider who had the most fun! Additionally, there will be another round of demos running on Prison Camp, if you didn't get your fill on Saturday.

Santa Catalina Recreation Area (USFS)Hotels: The two closest places to stay are the
Ramada, & the
Comfort Suites, both located on Tanque Verde Rd, a short drive from the event. Additionally, there are many other accommodations to be had on the North-East side of Tucson.
