Steve Peat Syndicate deep in the French Alps at the 2014 Trans-Savoie.
After a night at Val D'Isere ski resort in the French alps the 6-day stage race got underway this weekend.
Over 100 riders started on a 350km journey across the high peaks and valleys of the Savoie region heading for Chamonix, France on Friday.
Day One had four stages of racing with over 4,750m of descending and 49km of riding.
Fastest on the day was DH legend Steve Peat on his Santa Cruz Bronson, followed by SPS team mate Neil Donoghue. Polygon enduro racer Jamie Nicoll was in third place after an hour of timed descending.
