 Good that the guy in this video is fine; I was talking about Colin Winkelmann, who destroyed his legs in a similar fall.

 Colin was just starting to ride again but committed suicide from a break up or something like that, he had almost fully recovered.

my concept of entertainment and doing cool shit has never been the same since travis came upon the scene. so cheers for that, and thanks for putting up this video.

 Because if he fell once it would probably kill him. I'm shocked he was trying and landed the first ever moto frontflip. That dude is insane to keep going after all the abuse he's put his body through.

 Like Jalopnik said last week, looking at Pastrana is looking at a 45 year old who's only 30.

 oops, you're right. Jackson Strong did it a bit ago and Cook tried a double frontie and ended up seriously hurt (SCI I believe). The vid musta meant the first one on that ramp.

 Yeah when he said 17ft was the biggest thing hit by a bicycle in history I'd like to see him prove that......

 @slidways Travis said the ramp its self was biggest not the gap...zinks gap was 100ft and his ramp was not as big as 21ft

 I think what he meant with bicycle was not a Mountain bike or Downhill bike he meant something without or little suspension like a bmx.

 Zink only had the the biggest bike gap and his jump was 15ft tall lip and travis's is 20ft lip

 I was talking about the ramp, if you watch the video he says it was 14ft than they jacked it up to 17ft which was still the biggest thing ever hit by a bicycle. This was all before they put it up to 20ft... 17ft is huge but I think some people could challenge that claim. Not that it matters now because they made the ramp 20ft afterwards.

 definitely, but the cork 7 to airbag just shortly after, on a moto also really trumps things up, wow!. i guess he calls it a rodeo 720... but no wait, via wikipedia: "...back in 2009, once he landed the trick, he named it the TP7, due to the fact that he was 20 degrees short of 720...", this guy is unreal!

 I think it has something to do with negotiating fear over pain memories and risks predictions. Travis just got used to the facts that a lot of his bones are broken several times, there is probability of breaking them again, and it would probably hurt a lot. He clearly decided that it is a cost he can pay for the fun and for the life he is enjoying. I remember him since watching jumps on extreme sports channel about 10 years ago and he must have impressed me already, becuase it is his name I remember. The only better rider I can think of in this discipline is ghost rider (kidding).

Considerring the 4:03 jump, I cannot stop admirring his skills in facing dynamic centre of mass and airflow and using it to control the flight. He almost stopped in the air, to fall down flipping. It is a big wow for me.

When I look at the "amazing ramp", the only thing I am thinking of is the sheer size of it. Going further, why not enlarging the kicker by ten times and the air pillow by ten times in each direction, to do stuff redbull would envy.

 At what point do they got to say it's gone too far? I kept thinking no...no...no my God man stop!
