Video: Trippin' Worldwide Inc Heads To Slovenia

Aug 21, 2014
by Aspect Media
The country has everything from Mediterranean beaches, high alpine riding, some of the most well known world cup standard bike parks in Europe and everything in between. Taking in some secret trails near the coast, Maribor bike park, some high alpine rides, ice creams on the coast and a punch in the face, the guys had a sweet week with Ride Slovenia and can thoroughly recommended it for those looking for some big AM rides in central europe, good food, good weather, good hosts and getting a bit lost here and there ( in a good way ).

Yes! Slovenia, the place to ride right now. An amazing variety of trails in alpine country just 2,5 hours-of-driving-in-any-direction small.

I'm going there in a little over two weeks, but don't know where to go for some nice singletrack. So I guess I will just go for some rent-a-bike in bikepark Kranjska Gora and take my road bike for the alpine passes!

I wouldn't recommend the bike park in Kranjska Gora, if you don't want to argue with the lift operators. The tracks there are not in a good condition, either. Bike park Rogla is much nicer and the guys running it are really nice. Other options would be Javornik and Maribor. About the trails, I'd say find someone to show you Krim, Nanos, Slavnik, and countless of other amazing locations. I hope you're going to enjoy your stay here Wink

If you like wooden trails with some roots and non-slippery rocks, deep forest and nice nature, maybe the Pohorje mountain range is the right place for you. With two bike parks and a big net of nice trails, Pohorje is a MTB top destination. More info at: www.pohorje-bc.com
