For 2014 the Troy Lee Designs mountain bike clothing and protection line has received a complete revamp - Troy and the team have been hard at work, not only crafting new designs for the bicycle line, but continuing to improve on the fit, feel and durability of TLD's apparel, protection and helmets. There is incredible momentum for TLD Bike right now, and 2014 is shaping up to be another action packed year. Take a look at the latest designs and styles below that are all now available at finer bicycle dealers worldwide or troyleedesigns.com. TLD Ruckus 2014Ruckus is the staple all-mountain category apparel, when you need to be ready for more trail abuse than other pieces of kit. Based on customer feedback, more features have been added for 2014, like a slick phone pocket that’s positioned in the right area, zip fly with snap enclosure flap, rear pocket too, and strengthened fabric in key areas so it is ready to handle a big ride on a big bike. TLD Protection 2014The TLD protection line has undergone a major overhaul, with five all new models being unveiled for this sesaon, including the
TBone-II, a long awaited revision of TLD's first MTB specific knee guard. This will be very popular for the “E-word” riding, since it's rugged enough to take a digger on the trail, light enough to throw in your pack and adjustable enough to fit any sized leg with the adjustable straps.
Semenuk: Long time TLD rider and 2x FMB World Tour Champion Brandon Semenuk has wanted TLD to make an aggressive pad for dirt jumping, shuttle runs and freeriding for years, and Troy Lee Designs finally answered his requests and spent the last year developing this new pad. A CE certified impact cup is encased by a very subtle Semenuk themed (pics of his Mustang, newspaper headlines, etc) abrasion resistant liner. They work great under pants - the guys have been racing and riding this guard with the new Sprint pants all winter and loving it
The
Method is an all-new take on the 2-part knee guard system TLD has offered in the past. A polyester mesh knee gasket that can be worn by itself on an easy ride, but throw on the bomb proof plastic shield, made of honeycomb polyethylene plastic and is CE certified.
Panic: Another completely new knee guard for 2014, this one is a 5-strap application and is a longer knee guard with great shin and knee protection, pre-curved guard for a fantastic fit, also CE certified.
E-Lite elbow. Another completely new guard, this one is a ergonomically designed ultra thin slip on elbow guard, using a lycra sleeve with a co-polymer pad exterior that also has memory foam to protect your elbows in a crash, or grazing a tree.
• TBone-II: MSRP $52
• Semenuk: MSRP $98
• Method: MSRP $85
• Panic: MSRP $112
• E-Lite: MSRP $35

New pads look really good, they needed improving; don't rate their Shock Doctor guards at at all.
Glad you've found them to your liking, we're all a little different shape-wise and prefer different things, and that's fine by me, although obviously not to the person who thumbed down my response!
Gave you a plus prop your back at +1 now haha
That said i love there shockdoctor kit. Ive superman'd down some nasty rocky shoots and cracked a helmet but still walked away unscathed in the body armour. All armour and helmets come down to personal fit but the tecnology worked bloody well in crash testing for me

I do love the looks I get while wearing my downhill gear on my 29er XC bike, though.
Light MTB trousers, with pockets and don't cost the earth - who woulda thunk it?!
The First Yellow / Green is too Australian.
The Red white and Blue, well is too 'Murican.
The black one is alright, but kinda Kiwi "All-blacks-esque"
The other one, well... no one wants to be that guy.
I could go for a pair of pants for winter coastal BC riding, but only if the pads are compatible.
My only complaint is that the TL jerseys I have snag really easy compared to other brands I own. Not deal breaker, but if there was a way to solve that they would be 10/10 awesome.
