Fabio Wibmer 2014

bigquotes2014 was one of the funniest and coolest years I've ever had. Having the opportunity to ride so many different bikes is probably the reason why I can't get enough of biking. Since the first step onto a motocross bike at six, I have this passion for two wheels and nowadays I can't imagine a life without riding. That's what I do, that's what I love, that's what I am. - Fabio Wibmer

As an upcoming rider, Fabio always tries to improve his riding level but the most important thing for him is to have fun! Fabio is known for making his own videos with a unique style and he is also considered to be trials most promising rising star.

2:54... someone needs a high five... with a shovel... straight in the face.

I'd bet that was just bad timing. Very lucky to get up from that. Barb wire fence is the norm in cattle country. The gates across roads, however remote, are also just simple barb wire structures. As they move cattle up and down the elevation for the season...the gate might be open for days, weeks, even mths and then it is closed one day. Wire is up. Bam.

our mtb parcour has wires at every side... so they would not be riding in the forest. stupid idea. just one kid that needs to miss his turn couldend up pretty bad. good most of the riders here are xc. once i rode against a bar wire. they gave a competition mtb. xc and later i went there it was dark and the roads they roide were still visible so i went down. but they already had been putting the barb wires back there. how could i know. stupid pretty stupid if you ask me. and not me

the trail in the forest for mtbers is wired at both sides. yea most of the time theres stiill 20ft in between. but sometimes it gets closer. ofcourse i know riding someting you dont know is never a good idea. but riding where there are wires can be dangerous. didnt wanted to ignore the fact that mtb is dangerous. but where i live i cant get over 40 km ph so most of the time i dont have trouble with it. the trail itself is a really bad version of a strait trail.

Almost ran into barbed wire growing up as well. Gotta realize, you're most likely riding on private property and while red flags/ribbons are a must in the U.S., that's only because of our wacky civil laws. Glad to see you didn't die and that edit was sick.

I've got a nice scar on my head from riding under a nearly invisible, elevated, single barbed wire as a child. In retrospect, I'm glad it wasn't a neck or an eye.

well this is just how we end up behind a fence... no it sucks when some idiots put wire across trails just to harm bikers. But this one seems to have a purpose so calm down and put the axt out of your hands. Awesome riding! Fabio for President!

Superb. Clearly a kid with huge talent. I like how you can see an obvious influence from Danny Macaskill's riding style too. Working with Danny on the Drop and Roll Tour is clearly no bad thing for this guy! Someone get him a decent film crew (Red Bull?) and lets see this kid go places.

Could this just be an issue in Ireland? Just as insane here, but no crashes other than the ones in the vid.

Amazing riding Fabio. Your love of riding was apparent in the 'What happened Last Sunday" vid (If I recall the title correctly), and your stoke in this video for showing not only the successes, but crashes too bear testament to your love of the ride. Thank you for sharing this with us!

What a dude, not afraid to throw in loads of his crashes as well. Respect keeping on with that front flip over the hedge lad!

I only crashed 2 times last year, First one I broke a rib, 2nd one I broke my leg. How I wish I was young and indestructible again!!!
  • 3 0
It's all about learning how to crash.i know there is always going to be the time when you do injure yourself, which I have, but when you crash a lot you kind of learn how to crash properly.which this guy clearly has looking at some of his bails

We used to ride our older BMX bikes full speed into the curb, fly over the bars onto the lawn, tuck and roll with our Evel Keneval helmets for practicing crashing. It helped when I raced BMX as a kid, and I never broke a bone in 25 years of MTB riding. Unfortunately, the last few years is a different story!
