The final day of this year’s USA Cycling National Championships at Mammoth Mountain held the Enduro race. USA Cycling Nationals draws riders from all over the country in order to compete for the stars-and-stripes jerseys awarded for each race. Before Mammoth Mountain cleared out on Sunday, Enduro racers headed up the hill to begin four stages of racing.
Each stage of the Enduro race ended at the Canyon Lodge, while they began throughout Mammoth Mountain. The course distance ranged between 1.5 to nearly 5 miles, the shortest being Stage 1 and the longest being Stage 3. Racers battled for the national title on the rough stages throughout a long day of racing before leaving Mammoth until next year.
Riders get their fair share of climbing in throughout the stages.

Kyle Warner burns through the strong headwind during a short climb towards the Elevator Shaft section of Stage 2. Warner takes 3rd for the day.
Mike Day cruising toward the steepest section of Stage 2 and into an overall 5th place for the day.
Shared with Saturday's Downhill track, the "Elevator Shaft" is the final section of Stage 2 of the Enduro.
Adam Craig charges down the Elevator Shaft and takes 2nd for the Pro Men by the end of the day.
Mitch Ropelato comes into the finish area of the second stage with a solid lead over the field.
Halfway through the day of pedaling and racing, Walker Shaw crosses the second stage before heading back up.
Riders continue down Stage 3 filled with a mix of turns and pavers, rough straight sections, and a slalom section.

No shortage of California dryness. With hundreds of riders coming down the hill, the tracks get rougher and more blown out as the day goes on.

Georgia Gould having a solid weekend at Mammoth. 2nd Place in Saturday's Short Track XC and she takes the 5th spot in Sunday's Enduro.
GT Factory Racing's Rachel Throop pushes through a hard day of racing and into 4th place.
Lauren Gregg coming into the finish after four long stages. 3rd place for Lauren Gregg.
Porsha Murdock makes the trip to Mammoth from Oregon, and for good reasons. Murdock rides into 2nd place for the day.
Kelli Emmett finishes strong after four tough runs down the mountain. Emmett takes the win for Pro Women's Enduro with a time of 39:24.5.
Another day of successful racing for Mitch Ropelato. Mitch took an impressive second place in Saturday's Pro DH, and takes the win in the Men's Pro Enduro with a 32:06.5.

Mammoth Mountain fades to black Sunday evening as USA Cycling National Championships comes to an end and riders clear out of Mammoth Lakes from another great weekend of racing.
