Additionally, several trail design/consultancy outfits will be in attendance to discuss their services. Various registration options are available, including meals and accommodation at the Stowe Mountain Resort. You may also see this event advertised in Ski Area Management Magazine, and Dirt Rag Magazine, thanks to the Vermont Department of Tourism and Marketing. Please register at www.vmba.org. I look forward to seeing you in May, and please feel free to call me with any questions at (802) 434-3969 x 112. Thanks, Patrick

Thats all you hear about here in VT is Stowe. There are plenty of other hills that have great riding. If you look at Busted Spoke, Stowe is the only resort listed, but Killington is Kona Groove Approved. Plus Stratton Mtn, Smuggler's Knotch, and Okemo are all taking better steps towards biking. This seminar is only for resorts though; right? I would like to see Vermont become an Eastcoast meca for mountain biking. It is rated highly if your a roadie, plenty of scenery.
i think jay peak should deffinitly think about a mt bike program
What has Vermont been waiting for? In Quebec (just North of the boarder), there will be 2 World Cup events during the summer... Time to catch up!
I live in Stowe and if they hold this thing and don't buid some DH trails on the mountain, I am going to be pissed. Stowe Mountain Resort tries to call themselves a world class resort, but they are completely lacking any form of biking. The whole mountain is part of a national forest and there are other trails in Stowe, but the one lift they run in the summer doesn't allow bikes and there are no trails built. If they are holding a seminar on "mountain bike trail design and construction at ski resorts" and they don't listen to it and build some trails, I will call the 10 year, 300 million dollar renevation project they are in the middle of even more retarded that I already do. If anyone goes to this and they see some of the head people from Stowe, try to talk them into building trails, please.
I used to live in Stowe, and I completely know how you feel. For me, it seems like they're spending money on on the wrong things entirely. They should be focusing on bringing new people the the area, and a huge, expensive hotel isn't the way to do it. I would love to see biking at the mountain. If they really put the money, effort, and time into building trails, they could up with a really good bike park.
Props on the coment jack...we might just have to build out own trails off the gondi and hope that the lifties like us
Well, my brother is a lifty.....he can be bribed.
