3rd place for Peaty! How the hell does he manage that at 42 - so impressive.
  • 4 1
He never has stopped practicing and training to stay elite level fit. At that level of training the speed wont stop till he decides the work isn't worth it to him anymore. With peaty that wont likely happen soon. He likes to race and win.

 LEGEND.. nufsaid..

 holly f+ck, what track
  • 36 1
The boys in the uk are always running on the sweetest, burliest looking tracks. I am of the opinion that they have literally built WC dominance with years of shovel work and a healthy obsession for steep rutted turns.

^ yup.. makes our national champs or any race in the u.s. appear to be a bit of a joke.....such a stacked field and pretty awesome looking track...makes me miss the glory days of norba circa early 2000s...

@wydopen: now, now, us has got some good tracks. And the gravity raceing scene is improving. luca shaw is becoming a podium guy at WC.. Plus we got the guy whos won over 50 percent of the WC races in the last 5 years.

@wydopen: the norba circuit was almost as big as the wc back in the day. Dh at Mammouth was huge!

Girls too! They might look nice in these edits, but most of the year the weather is crappy and wet and many tracks are unrideable. In the Uk we are also lacking in actual mountains (except Scotland) Most tracks are short and sweet and like this one, haven't been around for very long. Having said that we are increasing the number of bike parks and tracks every year. That might now slow down as these were mostly partly funded by the EU.

@djm35: trust me Im not complaining...I can do 3000ft of descending that drops me into my backyard in 70deg weather during the middle of winter 3miles from the beach...

@wydopen: My thoughts exactly. Still, you in the US still have a lot of good riders - I'm from Germany. What do we have here? We have Fischbach, ok, he's no slouch, but he's no Gwin either. That goes for every German downhiller: way faster on a pushbike than I'd ever be on a dh rig, but so far of from what UK talent has to offer. I don't want to knock our riders, it's just those guys are on a different level altogether...

Racing Nationals in UK though, it's like going to a worldcup race only some guys overslept.

That little bit of Laurie Greenland looked absolutely scorching! Kids got a big future. Always looks so happy just to be part of it all!

I was gonna say it reminds me of the Sprung videos

So basically a World Cup, then. Well played Brits, you're doing it right

When is rat gonna pull his finger out?
  • 4 0
Been thinking the same, after his cup victory I thought he'd come back and be dominant. Still hoping!

@cunning-linguist: injury can mess with your head no matter how long ago it happened.when he was winning he was balls out.loved it.

 That track sure looks fun

Good times! with tracks like that no wonder the Brits produce so many DH legends. Makes Lenzerheide look like paved highway.

Danny Hart's line over the stumps is genius..

the orange fork from rachel is sooooo ugly...
  • 6 0
Its the wc leaders fork colour. Gwin has one too. Most people liked the orange colour on an old Z1.
  • 6 0
But you noticed it, marketing done! Lol and yes orange Z1s, I'd have chopped a nut off for some back in the day! :-)

I think it looks good with the trek blue - the old gulf colours. Clashes terribly with her shorts though.
  • 1 0
@AyJayDoubleyou: yeah Gulf racing colours could look good on a donkey! Good mix.
  • 2 0
You are right guys. From the marketing side it´s great, but it´s not my taste.
  • 5 0
Peat earned a place on the worlds team one last time with that result surely!
  • 2 0
Every time I watch videos like this, I say OK, so that's how you do that. The next day at the trail I end up like, how did that go again?
  • 6 1

phil atwill's double is pretty sweet

Would love to hear Josh's thoughts on the flat pedals.
  • 2 0
I would as well. Seems that flat pedals and a pair of five ten Karvers have been his set up the last few races.
  • 2 0
Wish I never knocked myself out on the Saturday, the track was unreal
