His foot didn't really hit the ground it just got blown off the pedal, not like he used it either time to keep himself up. Think that's why he wasn't really marked down for it.
Yeah he killed it on his first run and that flat drop backie is just absurd. Lots of opp. tricks as well that judges seem to favor. The one irk I have is that dude getting scored so low for throwing down a sick run (450, dub tailwhip) and a backflip barspin to tailwhip even though he dabbed his foot on the last trick. Otherwise, wild contest.

First comment in my head was "take note other FMB judges, slipped pedal doesn't mean -20 points". Glad to see it only cost 2 points vs his winning run.

dude in charge - "we have cable cam footage, use it in the edit" editing dude- "ah, you can't tell what trick they're doing, the footage is bad" dude in charge- "We paid for cable cam, we show cable cam"
as bad as the first big trick jump camera angle at les 2 alpes, sun right in the camera lens, couldn't see a thing.

Hell I thought the cable cam was mental- it's one of my favourite things about watching the event! I agree they did use a bit too much of it and it's difficult to tell exactly what trick they're doing but I love the fact it feels like your flying with them.
His clean (first) run with the flat-drop flip was better than Testa's in my opinion. That said they both had such smooth flow compared to a lot of the other riders. It seems that the judges (correctly IMO) take that into consideration in the scoring. There's got to be a balance between huge tricks and fitting the trick into the overall course. If/When Carson adds a front and a 720 to his bag he's going to be a contender on the biggest stages.
