is correct. That is exactly why at mtb festivals these types of races have been called fat tire crits for the last 25 years or so.

Fun way to start the hane thats about to be unleashed on Whistler this weekend.. agreed though. Minimum tire width's, no lycra and sharks with laser beams on their frickin heads.

Just like the old Fatboy crit at Sea Otter. All the riders stay within the wheel and tire dimentions but not exactly "fat".
