 That nose manual was ridiculous.

When in Whis last year I rolled to the top of that and nearly filled my pants. The thought of nose manualing into it is beyond comprehension

Yep, it scared me a lot the first time I rode it. So doing a nose wheeling in this super steep slope is beyond my undestanding. Maybe the law of physis don't apply the same to theses guys.

Holy fudge! My buddies and I eyed that up last time we were up there, all of us were like NOPE the second we saw it. To nose manual that is fucking awesome!

Glad I'm not the only one tripping over that! How da fudge did he do that nose manual??????????????????

That line is called Gorilla Arms.

@jfyfe Filthy Ape actually. I'm more impressed with him popping the front wheel at the end though, the bottom out is hard, and manualling in will make it twice as harsh I suppose!

Besides good filming, editing and riding, the overall good vibe stole the show. More please!

You just put all my thoughts into a sentence. I didn't think I could possibly be any more stoked about going to Whis next summer but I guess I was wrong...

I miss you guys / Whistler! Fair play Jamie, best video you've ever done. Video of the year.

Anyone else instantly think of south parks 'oh Canada' song upon seeing the title?

Alright my question might seem totally irrelevant, but since this is a video about BC i'll ask it anyway.

How had is it now to find a job in BC? I have a master degree in finance from a university that is well recognised in Britain. But how are british degrees recognised in Canada?

the finance industry of Canada doesn't seem to be well developed, would it offer opportunities as Europe?

How is the racial equality there? I'm not white

Seriously thinking about moving to Canada, just need to have enough working experience to apply for provincial nominee program!

I can't really answer you're question about the job thing but I'm sure it would not be that hard to find a job here. I can't tell you that racial equality is amazing here, everyone is accepted
  • 1 0
My deepest concern is that my degree might not be recognised and I'll inevitably go back to grad school. I hate studying and I want what I've learnt so far to pay off.

good thing i'm an Mechanical Engineer JOBS EVERYWHEEEERE!!
  • 1 1
Whether your degree is "accepted" or not depends on the company who is hiring you, not the country where you are living. That said, having a degree doesn't guarantee or entitle you anything, job or otherwise.
When living and working abroad, what you need is a residence visa, and a work permit, which, if you are a British citizen should be pretty easy if you are going to Canada.

Yeah I understand that. The significance of degree in finance industry is that most employers will only have some targeted institutions, e.g. in US that is some Ivy league uni, in Europe that is Oxbridge, LSE, HEC and etc. Without such recognition one is not even in the game.

Hey Stan, If you line up a working holiday visa, you can come over and see if it's the right fit for you before applying for the PNP. The sort of job that you could get with a Masters in the UK may be a little more high level than what it will get you here. in some cases a PHD is required to work in the same level as what a Masters might get you elsewhere. Can't say I know how finance compares in Can to Eu. Racial Equality is pretty good, not perfect. But some of the best I've come across.

sad I have a degree in Molecular Biology and masters in Microbiology and I live in Seattle and am lucky to be employed. Maybe I should come give Canada my science services, They aren't doing me any good here if I want a better job. There are none. It's a dead market.

What kind of finance work do you do? Toronto is the finance capital of Canada in terms of banking, brokerages and the like. There is not much banking (investment) or corporate finance type activity in Vancouver given the size of the city but there are jobs out there. Outside of Vancouver you won't find anything in BC.

Corporate finance, restructuring advisory etc, I'm happy to work in consultancy too, not necessarily big IBs. I also got ACCA certificate which I can convert to CICA upon passing 1 exam, but I'm really thinking about being a pure accountant. I heard that way too many highly educated ppl chose Canada as the place to live that you will come across cab drivers with phd. Working holiday visa sounds like a really good idea. Is it possible to extend that if I found a job really suits me well?
