Nico Vink put up this event on his own, with big help of friends and a few sponsors like Loose Riders Global Alliance and Grounded BMX. He managed to put together one of the ganrliest events, with very little budget because BIG COMPANIES HAD NO BALLS to support him. Huge thanks to BikePark Ferme Libert Official for believing in such project and letting nico build some of the biggest jumps ever. This is freeride and this is what riders and people want to ride and see. no more parking lot comps, no more circus obstacles, no more 2 meter jumps, no more bullshit... The FEST series is the FREERIDE REALITY"

 Another reason why the fest series is the best thing to happen to MTBing in a long time. That was insanity. How big are the jumps in Vanderham's Seasons segment? That gives a bit of perspective.

 Zink's flip wasn't the longest flip, though. Biggest on a step down though. Lip to lip, the canyon gap at Rampage was what, 76 feet? Lengthwise, I thought they were saying it was the longest flip on a mountain bike when McGarry hit it last year. Again, longest.

 Oh yeah, I'm not even attempting to judge length of the canyon gap vs. these ones, just stating it more like a point of reference. Wouldn't surprise me if the Loose Fest ones are bigger (as they sure look like it!).

 It's much more than any of that... They're progressing freeride mountain biking, and pushing the boundaries of a mental prowess, at least Andreu is! These dudes are awesome human beings. Love this shit.

 Andreu Lacondeguy is the god damn man... Jesus, that flip and that moto style. unreal..... I think the best thing that gives perspective here is his reaction to riding away from that flip. This shit ain't "easy" for even the best in the world. Sick, sick, sick.

 Presumably Vink wanted to make them bigger but the lack of run-up would have made them impossible to jump without any kind of launch-assist...

 Most of the mtbs looked super uncomfortable on the jumps early in the video, definitely new grounds for most of the riders, the mx bike looked totally at home though, crazy stuff!

 mtb guys can't trim their landing angle by spinning/stopping the wheels... and they are nowhere near as stable as the way heavier mx bikes!

 You can trim your angle, you still have brakes, putting your back brake on in the air will drop the nose. I guess weight has something to do with it, I wasn't intending to compare mtb to mx, merely commenting on how the riders were definitely treading new ground with the size of the jumps

 "Loosefest" sounds more like a fitting title for a poon party like whatever that was that D-Mac was doin' at the PB mansion.
