what a nice animal. Compare the moose' reaction to what us human beings frequently do to animals that are maybe a fifth of our weight and come into our "territory" and too close to human babies....*peng*
@MatthewCarpenter I've seen a video of a moose charging and attacking a man in Alaska. He shot it right there while on his snowmobile. These guys were lucky the moose didn't attack
This is SOP for Kinkaid Park in Anchorage, more lovingly known by myself as the Kindkaid Moose Range. On any given ride out there I'll see at least one moose, usually more. Right now it is calving season so the mammas are particularly twitchy. Going out there tonight for trail work party and then a ride. Wish me luck.
No doubt. Ira's Kincaid moose hunt should be reality. On a side note I'm flying home in the morning! So glad to be going back
to AK!
This was definitely a female.
I came up on a moose yesterday and we had a stare off for a while. I ride alone and it freaks me out every once in a while. I got to about 20' away before I realized it was right in the trail around the corner.
If that thing had reared up and slapped him on the top of the head a few times with it's hooves, he could have bought that cool helmet he saw on Pinkbike.
