@MatthewCarpenter I've seen a video of a moose charging and attacking a man in Alaska. He shot it right there while on his snowmobile. These guys were lucky the moose didn't attack

@riggadon. That guy that shot the moose from his snowmobile should have been prosecuted. He purposefully provoked a moose so that he could shoot it in the face. He saw it a safe distance down the trail, and pursued it until it charged him. If I ever met that guy I would punch him in the face before even asking a single question. The subspecies in Alaska/Yukon is significantly larger than the rest on North America. Still big everywhere though haha

This is SOP for Kinkaid Park in Anchorage, more lovingly known by myself as the Kindkaid Moose Range. On any given ride out there I'll see at least one moose, usually more. Right now it is calving season so the mammas are particularly twitchy. Going out there tonight for trail work party and then a ride. Wish me luck.

I came up on a moose yesterday and we had a stare off for a while. I ride alone and it freaks me out every once in a while. I got to about 20' away before I realized it was right in the trail around the corner.
