 Pure skills you daft cunt!

Specialized is probably so stoked to see their carbon DH bike do a cash-roll. God I know I would be if I made that frame...
  • 11 2
I would be so stoked to do a cash roll, period.

 He s ready for RAMPAGE!
  • 26 15
Think he should have won joyride. He threw down so many huge tricks. Fast plant 360, front flip bar spin, cork 720, cash roll, tripple tail whip. Thought he should of got scored better
  • 63 6
Yes, but semnuk did a stylish whip, rogatkin hasnt learnt those yet
  • 36 1
Eh, I love Rogatkin and think he gets scored very low in some comps. even though he throws down some of the hardest tricks that no one else really attempts, but Joyride judging was on point. Semenuk's oppo stuff and tech combos. and that cork 7 off the drop were madness. Nicholi killed it so hard at Nine Knights. I wish this edit had another minute or so of him shredding.
  • 14 1
In my opinion, that cork 7 drop is the reason semenuk won. Their riding styles are vastly different. But no one is going to argue who tricked that last feature better. Semenuk did hands down. And I think that's what threw the points brandons way. I definitely preferred rogatkins run, but he didn't throw a massive banger off that drop. semenuk did.

he only did a backflip off the whale tail (last jump) because he had put together such a good run and he didn't want to ruin it by crashing

"Their riding styles are vastly different." *implying Rogatkin has style*
  • 12 2
Style is subjective and apparently on PB, a really big and easy bandwagon to jump on. For example, I love the people who say "oh his tailwhip has more style than so-and-so". Might as well say some have better style when they do a bar spin. I have no life.
  • 25 17
 He is goofy rider.No style.
360 fast plant vs opo truck- Brandon
Double tailwhip vs 360 opo ds - +- both
Frontflip barspin vs backflip 2whip - Brandon
Cork720 - both, but Brandon did it much better,Nicholi did it usually ugly
Cashroll vs flip whip to can - Nicholi
ugly whip to bar vs flip bar - Brandon
triple whip vs 2whip - Nicholi
sketchy front tuck vs double truck - Nicholi
whip vs flip - Brandon
flip vs flip360/cork720 - Brandon and its biggest difference.
Why Nicholi won in your opinion?Yes, he have some bangers, but all of it are shitty and sketchy and goofy. And he do tricks in one way.Brandon has dialed tricks and in both ways.Nicholi ride for 2 place,no shitty judging.
  • 5 1
nicholi just isn't comfortable on the whale tail. he said in an interview that his favorite section is the 4-pack, since he comes from BMX. if he can get used to the whale tail and the other funky sort of slope features, he will definitely de better in comps
  • 2 1
Jeeezzz I'm just messing around chilllllll. He's obviously one of the best huckers in the game. Relevant video: www.facebook.com/samreynolds26/videos/974816695901901

when it comes to style, few people can beat semenuk in my humble opinion.
  • 9 1
Anyone who says Nicholi has NO style, comparing him to Semenuk........Jeez give him some time to come in to his own, He's 19 and transitioning to MTB.

style in usual tricks, I mean. And yes, Semenuk did all tricks in 17 with style,no matter. And Nicholi always be goofy ugly rider, but he do ultrabangers )
  • 3 1
@Hyperx Let's see what you can do on a bike.....
  • 1 0
That's an absurd argument to make, @dirtbagluvin Its almost as absurd as saying there is a lot of room for stylistic differences in spinning your bars or kicking a frame in a spin with your legs. People need to be realistic. There is style in MTBing but when it comes to tech tricks, there's not much room for difference because of how much effort you have to put into actually landing the damn thing. Its nothing remotely close to comparing a steezy cork 7 cuban to Moseley's cork 7 iron cross. MTBing doesn't have as much elasticity in pulling off a trick to add much of a personal touch.

these peopl will and can say anything but they themselves can't ride w/ the pros. better save your words if you're a better rider,
  • 1 0
He could have, the majority of his run was better than Semenuks. That frontflip tuck no handed onto the cabin was rediculous. What cut his score down was that he held back on the final whale tale which is scored very highly, otherwise he'd have had it.
  • 2 2
@scott-townes no. Its really a big room. For example.Look at the oppo3s from Semenuk - stylish. And from Logan Peat - ugliest opo3 Ive ever seen. Both have this trick dialed, both do it from bunch of features, but its totally different.
From the whole riding, not one trick.Look at some bmxers. Kenneth Tencio - he can do some massive tricks, insane level of riding. But all his tricks is super ugly.Even compare to a normal rider.
  • 5 4
 @Hyperx you're f*ckin ugly
  • 2 1
@Hyperx that's cool because style is subjective and I think your opinion is junk, especially with that example.
  • 7 2
Rogatkin is, without a doubt, the most exciting rider to watch right now. NO ONE is doing the tricks he's throwing down. Bangers should be winning contests like Joyride, and not so much the throwing of clean, yet now quite stock tricks (this coming from myself, someone who can barely throw a no-hander and can only experience the thrill of throwing a 360 while playing "downhill domination").
  • 1 1
yah, rogatkin is a crazy trix rider and that makes it more exciting. everyone else has his own style. watching a rider like everything is flawless in my opinion is another category.
  • 1 2
And NO ONE cant send opo truck from a flat drop, 360 opo ds from boner log (I dont know how really named second figure on Joyride), nollie tailwhip from the boner,cork720 barspin,cork720 from a step-down and many more tricks, which Semenuk can throw down.
  • 3 0
Oppo tricks are wonderful and everything, the level of difficulty is, yes, incredibly high, but they're a bit less impressive IN MY OPINION than something as unique as a cash roll. When you're throwing down a trick that no one else will even attempt in a contest, that's pretty impressive. Again, different riding styles appeal to different viewer. It's all in what you enjoy watching. Bangers or technical tricks, apples and oranges. In the extremely hypothetical scenario that I was the sole judge at Joyride this year, Rogatkin would have won.
  • 1 3
@martis Antoine Bizet and Adrian Tell throw down cashrool in a contest in run(not best trick).
All tricks have their own complexity. And yes, cashroll is pretty much unique trick. But cork720 from a step-down is more unique, cause NO ONE in a world never land this, and Im talking about home spots too.Brandon is only one, who can do it,even in contest run.
People, who not so deep in a trick scene, can think like "WOW CASHROLL HE MUST WIN!", but its not the hardest trick in a world.Pretty unique-yes.But many more people can do this)
  • 2 1
@Hyperx NO ONE is a unique fu*ktard like you b*tch show us your cashrool m*thafu*ka
  • 1 0
@Hyperx it's all subjective. The corked 720 on a step-down is incredibly impressive, yes. But... BUT... other guys are out there throwing VARIATIONS of this trick in their contest runs. No, not on step-downs, but on a standard set of doubles. Like I said before, it's apples and oranges. Rogatkin's execution of a cashroll impresses me more than Semenuk's 720s, likely because I'd seen other riders throw said variations of this trick in their runs. Regardless, yes, these guys are f*cking superhuman and could do tricks in their sleep that most of us couldn't with years of practice.

They already tried it and half the riders bitched out.
  • 9 0
actually they had slopestyle and it was windy as so a lot of the riders didn't feel safe throwing their big tricks

All this fantastic riding being epitome of bike handling skill, controlling a large object while being upside down and this bullcrap with knights and castles... i mean, what the hell? Are you trying to lure 7 year olds to the sport. All that is missing is a king giving away his daughter (obviously a virgin) to the winner. But off course that would make headlines on some blog. Hey marketing people- WTF?!

If I had to choose one trick to be able to do it would be the cork 7. Such an awesome trick to watch especially on a DH bike!

Im just shocked that he's not sponsored by an energy drink company! (Monster used to sponsor him when he was younger)
