me thinks CK needs to live and train somewhere with trails much rougher and gnarlier than Prescott if he wants to challenge the top ranks of the EWS.

He lives and trains in Cali where you can ride any style trail you wish...

I was born in Prescott, AZ. That is weird to see..

Raised in Flagstaff, Family owns a huge ranch outside Wickenburg, and I have never ridden a mtb there! I moved to SLC, UT 7 years ago and didn't ever really care to go back to AZ. Maybe I need to visit the fam...

@CurtisKeene my family's ranch has terrain to ride that would blow your mind. It would be cool to document that area its is seriously amazing.

Curtis rode quite a bit in the Santa Cruz area last winter. Definitely have good variety of terrain, but the air isn't thin and most of the segments are short.

doesnt Gwin train in the same area all year?

He’s been riding Mt Wilson a bit above Pasadena. That’s over 5,300 ft to a few hundred. Not the gnarliest terrain but it’ll train your pucker factor tighter than a drum with the combination of loose, dry terrain and lots of exposure. Plus there’s plenty of serious terrain in SoCal within reach as Aaron Gwin’s abilities were honed here.

 Curtis Keene EWS results: 38, 13, 6, 12, 12, 3, 27, -- , 35, 68, 126

Nothing against Curtis, but for a top Specialized/Red Bull sponsored rider to finish an average of 34th over 10 races...it's just not acceptable. There are plenty of younger and hungrier riders that can rep the US properly.

Ok, the results (ecpecialy this year) suck but this video series is amazing!
I'm sure he is responsible for this too...

He's reppin' the US just fine @motard5 Smile Injuries are hard to come back from

I don't think Spesh care all that much about his results. It's more about his persona. Think of him as the male Hannah Barnes.

Ranch Trail of Senator Highway, some of the aerial footage was the new trail on Badger Mountain, just below the letter P on the mountain. I live in Prescott, PM me if you want more info and a tour.

I wonder if there will be a tribute to the rider who died last weekend when they get to coverage of the Colorado races?
