If this is GoPro they should have a GoPro guy that can adjust the camera angle on the fly, via some fancy electronic thing for Pro events so we can get the best possible videos

Seriously. My neck is getting stiff trying to look farther down the course, instead of staring at the redbull logo. Still, totally crazy race. Some spots seemed so tight that skinny handlebars might start making a comeback!

 It's not a gopro, it's a Drift: www.pinkbike.com/photo/11962997

that was pretty intense. the course seemed less flowy than in years past, yet the "features" seemed bigger and techier. that spring in the middle must have sucked. such a long ass course too. so much vert. can't wait for more "shredits" to come out.

It seemed super sketch and tight... yeah I wouldn't race that. scury

 Too much pedal... =/

And all this without a valve cap on the fork - insane!

 saving weight to the extreme

 Polc is the urban legend.

the birds in the sky in the end, very nice !

Yes, they came in right on cue.

I Must say that i liked the previous course more

i have to agree and why the hell where the fences all crooked and zigzagged. why not just a straight regular fence???
  • 2 4
So you can fit more "frontline" spectators
  • 12 0
Zigzag fence segments don't require any additional supports to keep from falling over. Not judging if it is good or bad, but that's why it is done.

That actually makes a lot of sense. I feel like that would be dangerous to the riders though
  • 5 0
To be honest that course did not really look that fun
  • 5 0
 slovensky klenot! Smile
  • 3 0
It's juste my opinion but for me the old course was WAY BETTER than the new one...!
  • 2 0
It's interesting he's running knobs on his tyres. I would think it would be an advantage to be more slick for a better contact patch?
  • 1 0
Yeah I feel the same way I would have stuck a rock razor or a slaughter
  • 4 2
 so much pedaling. urban enduro?
  • 2 0
EpicTV...trying to sell me barbies and shit
  • 1 0
Are they required to hit every feature? Seems like the wall ride at 2:58 just adds time.
  • 1 0
he seems to own the streets and it seems to be his focus but does anyone know if he does world cup aswell
  • 1 0
That looked absolutely exhausting, not to mention seriously technical. Great to watch
  • 2 0
is that horrible sound the real WARP Speed sound ???? WTF
  • 1 0
Love the flock of birds that look like stars in his eyes as he lays on his back recovering
  • 3 2
That was a lot of pedaling! Still alarming though.

 Gratulace Filipe, seš frajer

how can he be a real god in these races but suck in WC DH rounds ? he's fast !!!!!
  • 5 4
WC DH courses are more groomed. They have a minimum track width of like 6 feet. Their jumps are spaced to be perfect at an "average WC speed". The high speed corners are all bermed. Urban downhill is much tougher. The stairs gaps are spaced at whatever pedestrians like. So some stair gaps you have to land to flat, some to stair tranny, and some into a flat corner. Add to that corners can be way tighter and steeper in Urban courses, just like that crazy first S corner in the vid. Bottom line, it takes way more skill to negotiate an urban course which can't be made as "bike friendly" as a regular DH courses. Polcster's just a better biker when it comes to extreme situations.

Bold statements. I appreciate your fighting talk.
... Or the two disciplines are simply different and require different skill levels in specific areas?
  • 1 0
1º Polc is one of the best urban racers in the world.
2º he is inside the organizer (City downhill world tour)
3º I leave to you all the rest........
  • 1 0
Maybe you need more skill compared to bike park tracks fatenduro, but compared to a proper DH course? I think not. More or less any old chump could get down an urban dh course minus the hucking and most of the speed. Truly technical dh tracks will cause inexperienced riders all sorts of problems.
  • 1 0
wonder how often Polc changes his frame, hucking to flat all year round
  • 1 0
Somebody ran from the cops alot as a kid......
  • 1 0
 MORE!!!
  • 5 7
I know the sponsors must love it for the viral videos and cool photo ops but I really don't get this urban DH malarkey.
  • 6 3
Focus on the positive. It also brings our obscure sport to the masses. I don't have the data to prove it but there seem to be equal if not more spectators in this event than a WC DH race. Plus the courses are really creative.
  • 1 0
Ah yeah, if people are stoked on bikes then it's all good!
  • 4 5
made my arse twitch just watching it
  • 1 2
 Such a quality.
  • 2 5
This video looks like it's slow motion.
