 Right out of the gate Rach is already two bike lengths ahead...!! So fast the whole way down, awesome run.

 Yep Rach got the hole shot!, braked a lot less, committed to her lines better, Manon, was off line too often, or maybe those were her lines,but Rach had better ones, lots of pedal strokes from Manon, telltale sign of lost momentum.

 manon has the skill to beat rach, but like she's said before she needs to look farther down the track, and not be afraid to fall, its gonna happen sooner or later, and it will be glorious.

 Rachel is so far ahead by the 1 minute mark that it's hard to see what she's doing differently. For now all I can get from it is "Rachel is awesome" which is true, but not very helpful.  id like to see a side by side of loic's run and gwins run, before bruni got the puncture ofc. Loic was riding some very interesting lines and itd be cool to see how fast they actually were

 Gwin was ahead of Bruni by nearly exactly 1.5 seconds at split one. They were both going fast, but Bruni wouldn't have been competition for Gwin, even if he hadn't got the puncture. Aaron is just on a whole other level at the moment, it's literally mind-blowing...

 @Jack-Mclovin yeah thats true, maybe loic with a side by side with minnaar, that would have been very close, either way, it looked like bruni approached the course very differently to the other riders, and it would be sick to see if it would have paid off

 This is a great idea but there's simply no comparison, why not do it with two riders who were insanely close like Brosnan and Ratboy at MSA?? Come on RedBull!!

 Why show 2 runs exactly the same? I think it's better to show how big of gap/how much more dominant one rider is.

 There's arguments for both- I think this vid was interesting as 5 seconds doesn't sound that long but this video shows how big a gap it really is. It would be good to see a closer one as well though to see where the milliseconds were won and lost.

 Would be better to break this down into segments / tech sections, etc, as I'm sure the various teams already do. Cool concept though. (Edit: this is probably why we don't see Gwin's winning runs either)

 Rach has been in a different league this year. That clip just goes to show............must be gutting for the other riders watching that.

 She's always in a different league. Last season she started off with a bad illness which held her back a lot, but she still wasn't far off being the champ. It's understandable really. I mean if you're growing up with Gee and Dan to follow down the trails, you will just naturally become an excellent rider!!

 Would be good to see how Vergier's run compares, considering we didn't see most of his run on the coverage.

 It is crazy, but try to pause it super shortly after start. I did at 00:12 and Rachel is good 2 or more meters ahead. After 12 seconds.

 I think miss atherton has taken note that it's not only men who can ride these line's fast.
It's plane to see that women can go as fast (or faster) as men, even in elite circumstances.
How long before the penny dropped 'oh I can go that fast'?????
With brothers such as Dan and Gee it wouldn't be long before we saw a huge Improvement from Rachel.
Let's hope the other ladies follow suit and we can have one hell of a season coming next year!!!!!
