That looks so effin slippery... Reminds me of the first time I went downhilling; it was pouring rain and about 50 degrees. I didn't know if the park was open or not, but the lifts were running so I asked. The lift operator told me, "downhilling is dangerous anyway, a little rain won't change that. We only shut down for lightning." My first thought was, "this is gonna be so f***ing rad!" It was. Sliding all over the place barely in control while trying to dodge trees was about the most fun I've ever had on a bike. The stuff in the video reminds me a lot of those trails; natural, washed out, rutted and root covered. I much prefer this type of downhill riding to berms and jumps. I want to look at a trail and think, "I don't know if I can get down this in one piece."
Every time someone crashed at full pace i was holding my breath because last year at the same track i broke the tenth thoracic vertebra, which obviously wasn´t a lot of fun.
Also the clip on Vital is one crashfest. IXS tracks almost never dissapoint Luckily the World Cups seems to go back to their roots after almost being outgunned by IXS for some years (Schladming anyone)
