Raw edits fucking rock. End of story
  • 13 2
it wasn't completely raw it had some slomo and stuff but i completely agree
  • 24 2
No music and all bike noises count as raw for me
  • 8 4
I agree completely. However hashtags can f**k off.
  • 4 4
Raw is rad. But I agree about hashtags! They're frickin' pound signs!

More videos with no music please.
  • 50 1
Funny how the trail does not influence the type of helmet a dude will wear, but that the bike will! LOL
  • 11 0
I always notice that and it has been instilled in my head as well now, I find myself always rockin the half cut on my "enduro bike" even though I'm riding the same big stuff that I did on my full DH bike.
  • 9 0
Me too ! I run the pisspot on my ht even for large jumps and dh. If i take the big bike out on the same tracks i will run a full face but logically if you are riding a dh track on a smaller bike there is more of a need for a full face as you are more likely to be riding on the edge. Pretty stupid really.
  • 2 3
Well that is why enduro is Even more a real man sport... Isn't it?
This is One outcome for such an ingeniös ride....

what's "enduro"?? Looks like a serious technical downhill trail to me...
  • 2 0
Last year Gargamel was used in a local Whistler enduro race called "The Beast".
  • 41 7
I still can't understand why anyone would ride this without a full face?
  • 28 4
 Because Its #Enduro...
  • 19 1
Because full faces are hot as hell. Wink
  • 18 1
 Because he never crashes?
  • 15 1
When he smashes his chin he will. It only takes once
  • 15 9
You can still smash your chin with a full face and that kind of impact where that can happen is much more likely to happen than a catastrophic crash where your face is the first thing to impact. I'm sure he held back a bit to minimize that risk regardless. He is way better than either one of us can comprehend so "criticizing" his riding on what kinda gear he uses for which edits on trails you've probably never ridden is kind of stupid.
  • 8 2
He crashes a lot - look at his dusty day in whistler edit - there's even some blood... Think they were looking for the enduro theme and refused to go euro.
  • 7 6
Any pro who makes the kids think its uncool to wear the necessary armour should be "criticized"
  • 2 5
headshot- you're using footage from another completely different edit with different riding/trails/conditions to say whether or not he should be wearing a full face in this one? I hope you're kidding, and if you are, well done, haha.

Gabriel- Since when does personal preference on what someone likes to wear on certain trails turn into pros trying to make kids think that it's "uncool" to wear the gear they preferred not to rip with? That's borderline insanity to make that connection. He's wearing a helmet and I've seen plenty of edits and people rip equally gnarly crap with a half lid. To be honest it just looks like another attempt of kids trying to create something to bitch about for no reason at all.

Now I can't wait for the people to defend such bitchery with a claim they're just bitching because they care for the well being of impressionable groms... because as you know, groms are so dumb that when they see an edit of a dude ripping gnarly trails with a half lid, they will never wear a full face ever again because it's no longer "cool"
  • 5 6
I forgot to put this in the previous post and I'll stop bringing this crap up but all the bitching going on is completely based on the assumption that these kids know this trail to the point that they can claim a full face is a completely reasonable helmet to wear on it. A heads up, there are plenty of really gnarly trails in the Whistler area that you can't ride in the back of a truck to get to. I know that's a wild concept but it happens.

 settle down man ^^^

Gabriel- Since when does personal preference on what someone likes to wear on certain trails turn into pros trying to make kids think that it's "uncool" to wear the gear they preferred not to rip with?

Haaaahahhahahaha! Have you ever heard of sponsorship? Do you have any idea how it works? Jesus Christ man think before you type....
  • 3 3
Sponsorships promote brands, which in this case is Bell. Bell makes full faces (which he wears in just about every other edit/picture) as well as half lids. Sponsorships have nothing to do with your absurd claim. Thanks for confirming that you're just an idiot. Have fun with that Smile
  • 3 1
Really don't understand what the fuss is about, he's wearing a helmet like he should. He's riding a trail not rampage
  • 11 1
Well I'm riding a small helmet for different reasons. Gargamel is an all mountain / enduro trail. I m riding my small bike and not a big bike as the trailis not fun withbthe DH bike and as I wanted to show people something new. I ride a full face on that bike when I race. If I had wear a Bell full 9, my Raceface elbow pads and back protection I would have riden faster and took different lines, jumps, drops... So it would have been a completely different edit. I don t think either I promote insecurity on a bike riding a normal helmet. It is just a matter of knowing what you can do on that trail with that bike. I just did stuff I knew I was going to make safe even if a crash can happen everywhere, anytime.. And about sponsors, no one asked me to promote a certain kind of products. Anyway everyone saw I had a Bell helmets. Would have been the same with a full 9. Thanks for the feedback.
  • 1 2
 @scott:
I'm not saying he wore whatever helmet for sponsorship reasons. I'm saying his preference on the trail turns into gospel for new younger riders watching the video. If he rides big lines in a little helmet, kids will too. That is why brands will pay athletes to wear their products. That is how sponsorship works. Like I said, think before you type...

@remy:
I know you can ride it safely in that helmet. And thats cool. When you're not on camera. Which I guess would probably piss me off if I was in your position. Doesn't exactly stop me wishing I was in your position tho. Smile F***ing sweet riding in that vid.
  • 1 2
An edit becoming gospel? Are you kidding me? You must be messing with me... You take MTBing way too seriously. It's just an edit, you dubbah. And stop trying to kiss his ass, it's pathetic. Fugg I've wasted too much energy/time on this. I'm going to spend my hangover doing better things, like napping and hugging the porcelain toilet.
  • 1 0
tell that to the riders earning more for sticking a name on their shirt than some do working a 9-5. i find it funny you calling my complimenting a good rider on his riding ass kissing. some of us are confident enough of our own abilities on a bike to be able to recognise serious skill when we see it, without feeling that admitting it is in some way pathetic
  • 23 1
Whaaaaattttt ?!?! SO FAST! I rode that trail many times and he makes it look so easy! And I thought I could ride the trail pretty well Frown . Mad props Remy, you're killing it !!
  • 25 0
Good clean vid with the best soundtrack
  • 9 0
 1:05 wowow
  • 26 6
#SoEnduro but no dropper post? More like #NoEnduro, amarite!?
  • 3 0
Ha! Was thinking the same! Great riding though, I would be doing that with a full face for sure!
  • 1 0
If you want to know why he doesn't have one it's because he doesn't need one... If he needed to raise the seat post quickly he would simply take one hand off (While still riding) loosen the clamp, grab the seat, pull it up and then tighten the clamp!
  • 1 1
He can take one hand off whilst still riding? I'm sorry but thats just nuts.
  • 1 0
 naaaaaaaa...
  • 20 0
 my favorite song
  • 1 0
Damn... that rear hub noise is music in my ears ;-)
  • 15 1
 VOD please
  • 10 0
Sweet riding. Something about a raw video that makes you just wanna get on the bike
  • 9 1
Boulder after boulder you have to have huge boulders in you're pants to go down boulders like that !
  • 6 1
Remy makes that trail look easy! Great video. No music, no visual effects, just riding Smile
  • 10 3
 Pretty, pretty normal
  • 2 0
That is the best song, ever. And it will never be overplayed, out of style, and we won't hate it if our parents end up liking it, too. Seriously, though, the noise of the tires' on/off relationship with the ground give the terrain so much more depth.
  • 6 1
Thats how a bike should sound.
  • 6 6
Nice hub alright, but it's loud. I like the quiet, absolute quiet of the bike on trail, maybe with some tire tread on dirt.
  • 2 0
love the sound of the tires , rocks ,and oh yeah that rear hub.......remy was putting it down ....clearly the type of video that makes you strt putting on your gear after watchin ,............kick ass
  • 5 2
Video rocks but not having fullface and 200mm bike doesn't make it enduro Smile

It is pure downhill with poorly chosen helmet Wink
  • 1 2
 Isn't that bike a 130mm travel meta Am 29er????
  • 3 0
That is most likely the SX 160mm 26er Surprised they haven't given him the new Meta V4 for the video tho, would have been a great promotional video
  • 6 1
Some of that was steep as shizzz. Nice riding.
  • 5 2
This is one of those rare videos that have no music but are still absolutely sick! Nice riding bro
  • 5 1
 i enjoy listening to tires
  • 2 1
That is fucktarded. I watched that vid with the preconsived notion that Remy out of the park was not going to impress, but that was my favorite video to date. Amazing riding!
  • 2 1
Rediculously smooth, controlled and fast! I don't think many of us here could even ride down a pavement with as much flow and style as Remy can throw down on such a steep and rocky trail. Insane levels of skill!
  • 2 0
Very nice video and super fast riding! I'd still be standing at the top of the trail with my tail between my legs.
  • 5 2
where are these trails and why aren't i riding them
  • 2 0
don't see the trail map right under the video? Wink
  • 1 0
Wasn't Gargamel in Roam? I guess they took out all the wooden features it once had.
  • 1 0
The wooden features pretty much took themselves out. As far as I'm aware it got a bit of a rebuild for the beast race in Whis last year. It was wet for that, and scary enough without wet wood features to deal with!
  • 1 0
Great filming, great edit, and the dude can ride a bike. So insane. That trail terrifies me every time. Never seen someone ride it that well.
  • 2 1
That was an absolutely sick video, but honestly I can think of 5 trails within 30 minutes of me that Remy could make a WAY sicker video at
  • 3 0
No dropper! Not enduro! Kidding ;-) He's bad ass!
  • 6 7
begin dialogue regarding the sound. possible comments to cue up include, "that's what bike videos should sound like," or "nice change from the EDM" possible variation includes replacing EDM with dubstep, or metal.
  • 2 0
So that's why they call them Michelin Wild ROCK’R²s
  • 1 0
0:27 in and my drawers are drenched - f*ck buffering I want more of that sound
  • 1 0
I don't count it as knarly if you can ride it on some pussy 30 pound all mountain bike.
  • 1 0
Remy you shred buddy!!! hope i will share a ride with u in whiss!
à bientot mec
  • 1 0
1:04 was mental. Mad skills and big cojones.
  • 1 0
Still can't wrap my head around it. Bending space and time to make that corner!
  • 1 0
Sweet filming Vince! Love the raw feel.
  • 1 0
awesome vid! Damn I wish I had these skills.
  • 2 1
Enduro question 26" or 27.5? What wheel size is he ridding?
  • 1 1
 I'm pretty sure that's a Meta SX, 26".
  • 1 0
Sx is pink. Am is yellow.
  • 1 0
Anyone know what the music is?
  • 6 0
Spank - Spoon, if i'm not mistaken ;-)
  • 1 0
steep and gnarly. that was some sick riding.
  • 1 0
 I love my commencal meta.
  • 1 1
One of the most understated videos to date. The natural sounds of bike, trail and birds. Fricken awesome.
  • 1 0
1:00 is lunacy, what a rider!
  • 1 0
Fast riding made to look easy, another banger from Remy!
  • 1 0
1:33… so smooth over that big drop. Awesome riding! Smile

nice remy ! is that when you ran into the cougar?
  • 2 2
I love the fact that he doesn't give a fuck about a dropper post.
  • 2 2
So enduro. Much speed. Very flow. WOW.
