Don't quote me, but I think Youtube renders us "normal folk" at a shitty bitrate to save space and money (hence the compression squares) and they render the big dogs (the ones who pay them) with extra-awesome-super-settings. Of course, it also depends on the quality of the file uploaded to them, but for the most part you are subject to Youtube's ATP (Are They Paying) settings. My personal videos look pristine prior to uploading, but as soon as Youtube has it's way with them, they end up looking like the damn Lego Movie!
haha cant see half the track , must mean its rough ... cool to see some different lines though, I think Ratboy's got the flow again this week ! Hes on it
Cool watching the different lines...As haallinson said...Hill for the win and Rat for the overall although, if Rat were to win I'd be happy with that. It has been a great season, too bad Smith was unable to defend though.
Looking forward to seeing Mr Smith back to his best. As a Brit I want Ratboy, Danny or Gee (or Slugger, Brendog and the rest) on that top step, but Steve is just awesome to watch. A true balls out rider, with a moustache to die for. Also, as a Welshman I hope Manon smashes it too.
HaHa... ratty...wha a f'n rock star with those glasses, hahah. He deffenitly will be a rockstar after sat race..!!!!! Gonna call it .......................RATTY for the win/overall !!!!!!!!!! The year of the rat lol
Not trying to start a wheel size debate... but definitely interested in how the different wheel sizes will get on here on such a burly course. Looking at DH rigs at the mo... I've gone blind looking at beautiful bikes... too many choices!! :-)
Ratty has got a few years on Mr Peat. It is the same debate in many sports. Would Valentino Rossi in his hayday have whooped young Marquez's ass, or is Messi better than Pele or George Best? The fact that Steve Peat is still putting many younger riders to the test at 40 is testament to the man's commitment to this amazing sport. Plus he is personally responsible for mentoring and inspiring the young Rat. He is rightly called a legend, in a sport that deserves much more respect than it gets.
Couldn't agree more. Josh could not have better mentors around him than Peaty and Minnaar. If Josh and that team are smart they would get a long term deal with the Syndicate and then let Josh continue to focus on the small details to help him to get up on that box week in and week out. From what little you get to see from outside of that team it looks like they are doing it the right way. Great fun to watch.
It's funny, when we first started seeing these two do course previews Peaty was all over Ratboy and you can now see how much he's progressed over the past year or so as he's now just pulling away from him and hitting the much faster/riskier lines! Can't wait to see him take the overall! RATBOY FTW!
I thought the same after watching Claudio (which is actually clear)....so many close trees...pads everywhere...there's gonna be some carnage...Fricken' pinball machine in there!
Red Bull are setting up 12 camera points, should (please pray after last WC) be the best coverage to date.... does anyone know if Claudio is in the seat with Warner on commentary ? will be glued to comp tomorrow :-)
sorry i left my pinkbike logged in on someone elses laptop they must have not realised :/ and for the record i completely disagree with the first comment
They compress the living crap out of everything. Hence the "HD".
