'Murica runs strong in this crew. Darin, Lars and Carl were on hand to get you on the newest demo rigs from Transition Bikes. The new trail bike offerings have a lot of folks excited. Stay tuned for a full review late Fall.
Lars from Transition Bikes was showing off their limited edition Giddy Up Energy drink for the outdoor demo and only they only had 300 on ice. We think that they managed to energize some folks in the hot desert conditions.
9:Zero:7 are from the great white north, Alaska. This is their prototype, full suspension frame that's using a Horst-Link platform to achieve 100mm of travel in the rear. Check out the 4.8 inch meats - and there is plenty of clearance for them.
I know that you are wondering, "what do two flattened sections of cardboard have to do with bikes?" Well, this is at the SQLabs booth and those marks are where my sit bones made impressions on the cardboard. They then found the most central points to each, measured the distance between, and added in the my riding style (which netted a +2.5 range), so I'd properly fit a 14cm width saddle. Pretty cool to go through some simple science and find out your effective width for a proper seat. Thanks SQ Labs.
One good looking MRP equipped Orbea Rallon. This bike has MRP's Stage fork upfront, the Raze 2CR shock, AM guide, Bling Ring and the super stealth De-Capitator bottle opener, in place of a front derailleur.
The folks at LP Tent (they create all of our trade show tents, banners and general branded items) had their custom van at their booth and it looks ready for adventure. Two years in the making and so worth the end result. We want to go road trippin' with them this winter.
Fox Racing Shox were set up at the base of the DH trails offering to set up bike suspension for riders heading up into the hills. If you waited in the right lineup, you could also shuttle up in one of their two Ford Raptors.
You're looking at a prototype power meter from 4iiii's that is crank based and user installed. This prototype Precision meter It is compatible with both ANT+ and Bluetooth Smart displays. Expect production models to drop in the fourth quarter of 2014, and reportedly, they will be smaller in overall sizing. $399 for the left arm device and calibration kit, or $750 for both left and right arms as well as the calibration kit.
What we've got here are Syntace Number Nine Titan Flat Pedals. At $329.99 USD, these are nowhere near being an economy pedal, but they pack in a lot of valuable features. They actually come in three different sizes (S,M,L with dimensional platform changes), and sport a ten year warranty. For 2015, they will have a grease port on the spindle to lube the three internal bearings (bushing style). The inboard cartridge bearing is serviceable and easily replaceable if needed. Weights range from small (278g), medium (288g) and large (298g) per pair, and each pedal contains 28 pins (14 per side) and comes with a pin tool for ease of installation or removal.

If you think those are expensive then don't look at these. trickstuff.de/de/products/cleg4.php But once you ride them and find the modulation of a Magura with the power of XTR brakes you may be hooked.
We import and sell this stuff at Radsport because it's good stuff and we like things that are different. We're not rich guys - just bike guys that appreciate the quality of fine manufacturing and we even ride once in a while. We're setting up a demo center up in Bend OR next year so any of you folks in the Pinkbike Wolfpack wanna come up (or down) and ride something let us know. We might even buy you a beer - it's better than blood and more abundant in Bend.
Thinking of getting old an MX frame and using it as a DH fatbike minus pedals.
