The rain is lingering, the midges are rife and Claudio Caluori has just christened the Fort William 2015 World Cup downhill course.
Join him as he chases World Champion Manon Carpenter down the tough Scottish track – Claudio does have a slight advantage of knowing about the new sections though, unlike Manon...
One of the oldest tracks on the circuit, Fort William has been part of the World Cup scene since 2002 and at 2.82km it's one of the longest, toughest and roughest tracks around. With lots of rocks, ruts and technical woods the course is varied and physically demanding.

That'll be a course preview of the century.
Claudio is the man! World cups would not be the same without him... Manon looking rapid as well
I love the Foo Fighters references.
Where have i been?
If they wanted to do it this way, my opinion is that this should be preseason to decide who gets to start with the #1 plate. Whne the real season starts, I'd go every other week to allow for recovery and travel.
And while I'm creating my own world cup, it should be teams of three rather than individuals. But on a weekly basis so you can rotate riders based on track style. Must be at least one man and one woman. Points will come from total of the three riders for that weekend. There should be a salary cap to avoid stacking based on money. Draft out of the juniors to build the team (including a practice/development squad). World champs would be more about the individual.
Truthfully, I'm happy to watch the races as they are and I appreciate the risks these folks are willing to take for the win and for my entertainment.
Manon has a bigger vagina than all of us here.
(Manon please forgive me)

(I think...)
Damn the end of this work week just got better!
So its not really saying much (in terms of his WC prospects) that he can keep up with Carpenter.
