Young Guns: XCO World Cup Round 3, La Bresse
The U23 field always has the honour of racing first. Tomorrow's elite is fast, very fast. We've seen the likes of Lars Forster, Victor Koretzky, and Jenny Rissveds work their way to the top of the elite field in no time. Thus, these ladies and gents are the ones to watch. First of the bat, the women U23. With two contenders for that top step, the racing is heating up.

With a women's race dominated by Sina Frei once more and a field spread out, it is now up to the men. The sound of buzzing tires filled the air once again as riders warm up for their race.

That looks like a proper XC track to me. Nice.
I think the thing that puts me off XC much of the time is the over-groomed, barely technical trails that seem to be the majority..

I notice that in the previous years, XC tracks tends to come back to mountain biking by adding tech bits here and there. I wonder if XC bikes will actually evolve to be more ridable in tech and steeps, it would be awesome.

Some of the sections are considered DH tracks in our place, respect for these guys!
