Whistler has a lot to offer to the next generation of mountain bike athletes. From pristine trails to rubbing shoulders with MTB legends, it seems to stir up the perfect ingredients to produce world-class talent.
For a few days during Crankworx, Cam Zink and Mark Wallace teamed up with up-and-coming riders Finn Finestone and Jackson Goldstone. They unleashed on the Whistler Bike Park and put Oakley’s new Prizm Lenses to the test.
The end result was good vibes, mind-blowing scenery, and a crew that sent it into the sunset.
Better opportunity than most! America has epic riding all over the place, though admitedly Whistler is living the dream.
Finland doesn't have any mountains at all, the whole country. So any downhill here is 1 minute at most.
5 years ago I was purely a xc dork, but living an hour from mammoth has "cured me". Did my first trip to whistler last month and was blown away by how much riding there is on and off the mtn. Squamish is incredible too. I'm just glad my skills were good enough to have fun, but I can't understand how those lil kids are going fast enough to clear those HUGE tables!
there is seriously nothing quite like it anywhere else in the world. I only go to whistler for crankworx once a year, but every time I come home I loathe my own bike park. Why the f*ck isn't whistler part of the UCI DH circuit? it's like the best venue in the f*cking milky way to have a race
only got 3 jump which i ride like, every other day and have done for 3 odd years. Finn and Jackson have it made soo good. They look really good on the bikes, stylish and full of progression. Can't wait until they are out there making vids and competing.
Actually curious how these work. I always rock clear lenses up there but it sucks on the chair. Too hard to see with tint to see when going light to dark. Anyone get these?
Basically, Prizm lenses are fine tuned for specific environments. Because Oakley can focus the lens tinting on a narrower color curve, it's easier for the eye to adjust when going light to dark. This lens is absolutely amazing and I definitely recommend trying one!
