don't do it. get the metal cuz it doesn't flex as much. i own this chain guide and have lost my chain do to this problem multiple times (on the bmx track) and it really should have some aluminum reinforcements to prevent this nut-crushing issue. on the other hand it looks really sweet and saves you a few grams. the bash guard is fairly durable too. like the underside of a NASA shuttle during re-entry.
