You know masterofdisaster, I love the dh/freeride stuff, but don't be so closed minded, xc has it's own merits. Anyone who truly loves biking can at least appreciate xc, even if it's not their favourite thing. In truth, it's closed minded ppl like you who a gay. You, and road cyclists......

theres nothin rong with xc riding if u ask me its all about going out there and having fun on a bicycle wiether it be a street/dj bike or a dh/fr bike or an xc/am bike could be worst they could be skaters...

Wll, actually, for all of you refering to this "Pink" bike as being not straight, it is actually spec'd for a woman by having a shorter stem and smaller diameter grips.

Not that this a single speed, but I have seen a number of single speeders wearing pink and some even in skirts, but they will kick most people's a$$'s up and down the mountain. Sorry to break it to you, but in cycling, pink does not mean gay.

Pink is for fratboys with popped collars. Who, while certainly a bit bi, and known to occasionally dabble in the chutney-ferreting arts, are not (strictly speaking) universally gay. Not that there's anything wrong with being gay. I think if there's any reason people should hate on this bicycle, it's for the obvious links to frattiness, or because they shamelessly bought in to the needless hydroformed top tube trend, made popular by the Nomad that needed it for pivot positioning. So, yeah, needlessly stylish and therefore more expensive, and pink. Frat special, good for elephant-walk triathlons.

i like the colours and i like xc. but getting past all that if bloody hiseous theirs no need for this whole curvy frame bollox it looks crap and weakens any design a straigt tube has a more even spread off the pressure specialized marin and santa cruz all make good bike that are starting to put function over form.

the nazi just had to jump in this one: firstly pink is fine IF you are f*cking good at riding, if not you shouldn't be drawing that much attention to yourself, and i doubt it'll get nicked
SECOND: curvy tubes make no difference to the strength as there is more material there to counter act uneven pressure, so don't come that one buddy (try telling me my chromo8 is weak)
THIRDLY: and i rekon most importantly, WTF is up with you loosers, arn't we all just goin for a ride? givva shit if it is up, down, round and round, or out your mammas mound! road riding, XC, downhill, jumping, trials etc, we are all part of the same higher being that appreciates there is only one way to travel, ON YER BIKE.
