Yeah I heard that he fluffed the landing. In fact he was actually arrested for doing this, could have hurt the lycra clad weirdos you see. Apparently he messed his face up pretty bad breaking his jaw, nose extra, the police felt sorry for him and didn't press any charges. Don't know how true it is but made me chuckle.....
