There's a canyon in the collective heart of the mountain bike world right now. Only I don't think McGazza couldn't clear this one, it's too wide.

What a legend. People who don't even know what a mtb is watch the pov of this run and are completely blown away. I know I'm not alone in saying your riding inspired me to want to get out and ride! You'll be missed.

I agree with you and am deeply saddened about Kelly's tragedy. I would like to add one additional point, we(people) always seem to a little more in tune when something like this happens. My addition to the feeling here is I would like to take this moment to thank all riders past and present would inspire. To the pros who work everyday at making themselves better and in turn make our sport amazing. Also, to my brothers and sisters I get the pleasure to ride with. I'm inspired by the collective crew. Ride well.

McGazza is the reason our parents think we do rampage runs every weekends.

I had never heard of Mcgazza before this flip (I was new to the sport not living in a cave!) and this is definitely how I want to remember him. My favorite Rampage moment by a country mile :-)

I remember going batshit crazy when I watched this live. My brain refuses to believe he's gone. I cannot begin to imagine what he friends and family are going through right now. My thoughts are with you all. Rest in Peace McGazza.

Many of us never got the chance to meet Kelly McGarry, but I still feel a great sadness when I think that another amazing public figure and role model in mountain biking has left this world. Its truly saddening and makes my heart heavy to think he will no longer be able to shred hard on this earth. Although as so many people have said I am sure he is shredding hard wherever he may be now.

His death has also been a stark reminder that this life is so fleeting, so temporary that we must all make our best effort to live life to its fullest each and every day. I never got the chance to meet Kelly, but as so many people have said it sounds like he was truly an amazing person. If one lesson can be learned from that it is you should always try your best to make the most meaningful, good impact on the world and others that you can and you leave the world a better place knowing you have made a difference.

Its hard to explain but even though I never had the honour of meeting Kelly I still feel so terribly sad that another ambassador of awesome has left this world too early by anyone's standards.

We all have to ride on, but must never forget those who strive to bring more greatness to this world (and the MTB community).

Ride in Peace Kelly McGarry, your loss has created a chasm in this community that I dont think anyone will ever be able to fill. Nor should they, as I truly believe you have left a unique impact on us all that could never be forgotten even if it comes from a perspective of only meeting you through the lens of a camera.
