Looks like it's a bit rusty. Think it's a tolerance issue or it's getting stuck on rust?

You could also try slightly opening the clamp with a screwdriver in the backside.

Otherwise, new post time!

Thanks for the tips Sherb, but it's the seatpost. I prized open the seatclamp, lubed the hole and post, still won't go in. Not a big issue as I can get another post for cheap.

EDIT: That sounded dirty.

This seems to be a tight fit, anyone know any solutions? Seat clamp is fully undone and post still won't go in!

Smaller post. Is that a 1"? I had an old Raleigh frame that had a small post like that.

 The post I got is a 27.2mm but I'm assuming it's a 27.0mm fit for my frame.

I bought it from an online shop so fingers crossed I'll get it exchanged for the right size.

Thanks dude. I think it may be the seatpost size though. The one I have is 27.2mm and I believe my fit is 27.0mm.
