that is a 27.5 right? i am in the market for a new bike. i am stuck in the old way of thinking the 26" way of thinking. i feel that i am not excited at all for the wheel change, to me its like a switch to a mac computer from a pc its a love it or leave it kind of thinking.
whats your take on the 27.5 wheel size. i know your seat time is pretty nice and well versed in all aspects of riding and countless bikes and setups.
what can you tell me about the 27.5 bikes. i am being recommended the nomad or specialized enduro evo.
personally with my old way thinking or me being hesitant to change i am looking at a yeti sb66 or evil uprising.
if you could give me your take on the wheel size thing that would be great.
i am in the same boat you where in when you bought this bike i can finally afford a great bike unused and i am excited but yet nervous
thanks for the advice nick

The cool thing about the fork, the 27.5 chassis is the same as our 26, I brought this fork directly over from my Covert 26 to this bike. Yes, the Bronson is a 27.5 bike. It is hard for me to directly talk about the wheelsize as this bikes rear suspension is entirely different in comparison to the Coverts and Bandits I was on for years. That said, I notice the slightly larger tire patch provides better grip for climbing and cornering. I do not feel the bike is clumsy or slower accelerating. It feels super snappy and responsive. It is not a huge wheelsize change like going to a 29er is. It rolls over stuff a little better. If you are doing an all new bike, go 27.5. The 26 will not hold its resale value like a 27.5 will because of the market shift to the new wheelsize. I had considered the Evil but was nervous about the tire clearance that some guys have had issue with. The Yeti is being discontinued in 26 from what I hear so that would make me hesitant to go that route. Let me know if I didn't answer your question or if that prompts any others...

that helps. the evil has issues with the tight rear but owners are calling bs on that and not having issues even in the muddiest of conditions. the shootout i watched had the evil coming out ahead of the 27.5 bikes and being the only 26 tested in the shootout having the test riders joking around about spending their kids college fund to get the bike. i am probably going to get my next bike from mojos since bob has been good to me over the years. he tells me he will get me what ever i want but highly recommends a 27.5 so strongly that he says he will give be a bike for the day to make sure i understand whats going on. thanks for all the info thats some great stuff gives me something to think about

That's certainly good feedback and probably not an issue where we live due to lack of mud in general. I would definitely go 27.5 for the next bike. Bobbo will take good care of you, I would take him up on demoing some stuff before you buy

I have been on this fork all year, I know that doesn't sound like a lot of time, but 450+ miles just this year on it. I had another 1,000 on it last year. I am super impressed with it! Great small bump control while staying high in the travel except when you want to be using more of it.
