Yesterday they removed my old metall from my smashed clavikle. I wonder myself why these w$%&§ers didn't used the old scar to get in. Well - another story to tell at the beach to impress the ladys...

The doc's don't cut on old scars because it makes some problems.

I had the same situation when they had cut my hand to remove some melat shit, and they did just like in your case.

they cut my scar open and my surgen knows what hes doing with it comes to ortho shit like broken bones

It depends on the surgeon, where the scar is, how well it healed before and how big it is. Scar tissue doesn't re-heal very well, its quicker, easier and far less complicated to just open up next to it!

that's f*cked man, my collarbone has been broken for 15 weeks and it's no where near healing, the doc said it's gonna heal on it's own but i don't think it's going to.

they dont cut into the old scar because scars are weakened skin, and cuttin it further will weaken it more and it will tear easily. (yes yes... i acutally listened in biology)

Sauber Junge, deine Frage warum die nicht durch die alte Narbe rein sind: geht nicht. Ist vernarbtes gewebe=schwer zu nähen und heilt nicht so gut.

Das kann so nicht stimmen. Bei mir wurde auch die alte Narbe aufgeschnitten und das ist üblicherweise auch gang und gäbe so. Außerdem wundert es mich, dass hier geklammert und nicht genäht wurde - das habe ich bei uns in der Klinik noch nie gesehen und die Google-Suche sagt mir auch warum. Ich Nachhinein sagt sich das halt immer leichter: aber beim nächsten Bruch echt besser nen anderen Arzt / ne andere Klinik aufsuchen. Bei mir war's übrigens die rechte Schulter. Hoffe du hast mittlerweile keine Probleme mehr damit.
