Changes are Schwalbe tires by Continental Mountain King 2.4" with tubeless Stan's, Crank Bros Mallet pedals by Shimano M545, Raceface ring and SRAM spider by Nottable 36T direct ring (brazilian finest CNC brand) and that is!
I'm willing to replace 2015 Dorado Pro by 2016 Boxxer WC, which will reduce weight by 0.390kg... What you think guys??

beautiful job, murdered out looks so good...how can your sled be so light ???...are you running 2x ply dh tires too ???

I don't know if it is a 2 ply tire, site don't mention that. This is folding type and tubeless ready 2.35" and 645g/each!

And if I change Stan's rims for Light Bicycle DH carbon rims and Icetech rotors for Kettle carbon rotors, weight drop to 13.594kg/29.97lbs!! I will need a lot of money to do that... maybe by the end of the current year.

I think SICCC rotors are waste of money unless you weigh 50kg or less and Ligh Bicycle DH rims are awesome I have them on now they are light, strong & rigid Wink

the problem with doing all that is that the bike will get bounced around like an xc bike on a proper DH course, and it will diminish your confidence and riding speed. the super light thin tires with sicc rotors and light bicycle rims may and will suffer with flat tires, cracked rims, and rotors that have to be warmed up to work properly. Leave it as is or maybe get it built a little heavier (dh tires) so it still rides and feels like a dh). my 2 cents with a super light trek session 9.9 so I went back to my 40 pd DH intense coil dual ply minnion Intense Uzzi! peace.

If the bike is mainly for showcasing, then you are fine.

I'm willing to change Schwalbes for Minions , the best DH tires to date!

thats a good idea. get the dh casing though not the single ply XC versions.
  • 1 0
 Yeah, I will do it.
  • 1 0
I totally agree with you man, mainly about the tires XC aren't designed for DH but if someone likes them why not

I'm gonna try Nobby Nics 2.35" and see what happens. If they had better traction than Minions 2.35 I will keep 'em.

jaybird is right on, basically it comes down to whatever works on the trails you're doing and your style of riding...I tried saving a few pounds using single ply Minion 3C and it was just a bad experience...way too many bugs in Bromont to start fucking around with flats on the trails side, hah...

your wasting your time with knobby nics....i had em....they wont hold up to riding dh I guarantee that.
  • 1 0
How much pressure are you using on them? I'm willing to use 19lbs tubeless.
  • 1 0
i dont use them..they are not for dh...they are ok for xc but thats it... do the beefy minions, add a chain guide with bashguard, and do not put carbon rotors and you are all set. this bike is amazing as it is! enjoy it!

I'm gonna try them but for my previous experience, Minions are the best!!
