I took it for its first proper trail ride today, it scared the shit out of me lol. I have never ridden a full sus thats this fast when being pedalled, so props to mongoose as their free drive really does work and very well at that!

 I got them because they looked intresting and were on sale and yeah their a 909.

I have a 2.5 version on my Mythic and a 2.35 version on the mongoose above. So far im impresed to be honest, i like them as much as minnions and nevergals. For a front tire they both roll well and and grip nicly on most terrain, the 2.5 is very good over rough ground and is perhaps the best tire for biting into berms i have ever ridden. The 2.35 isn't as stable as the larger version over the rough (to be expected) but makes up for it by handiling the loose stuff very well and rolls fast for a tire with dh style tread.

 i got a 909 because it was cheap and it sort of looked like a more mud/loose terrain minion tire

 I agree they are similar, thats one of the things that attracted me to em too. So far its been great for its money tho.

 its bad for the rocky trails out by me because they throw rocks at my frame, so there is a downtube tire haha
