Signs of a true biker ---

Shit like this gets your goat --- to the point you want to pull in front of the person, making them stop so you can adjust the trunk rack correctly.

*****front tire is about 5 inches off the ground, if that.

This is good for the bike industry; when he hits bumps and the car's suspension compresses, the front tire of the bike will drag sideways on the ground momentarily. By the time he gets to where he is going, there should be a nice flat spot on the tire. That means he will be buying a new tire from you or another LBS. You should have told him to put the bike lower a bit so it snaps the fork! $$$$$$$$$

4 years ago, brand new Transition Bank build + lame ass trunk rack + lame strap job by yours truly + oncoming semi passing me at 65mph = "Houston we have a problem!" I looked in the rear view mirror just in time to see the Bank lift off the rack, fly 15 feet in the air doing a complete flip, hit the highway precisely on the back wheel, rebound about 20 feet back into the air, take two more complete flips, come down on the back wheel, and bounce up and into the ditch. When I pulled over and ran back to retrieve what was left I found a scratch on the rear derailleur, and a small tear in the back of the seat. Transition for life Smile

Yep...happened to a buddy of mine when his trunk rack shifted...something draggin?....drive for a while more....hear that? ...After about 8 miles, he stopped to find his tire and rim completely messed up....not like it would have made a difference at mile 3 or 4.

on a side note --- I had a biker bud have his entire rook rack pop off the roof --- go airborne, land straight up and somehow slide to a stop without tumbling ---only thing damaged was the rack towers and the drop-outs on one fork got a little bent another bud had the same thing happen to him but, he didn't have the same luck.

Looks like a carbon roadie. If that thing hits the road I wouldn't be surprised if the fork shatters. That is so stupid
