sry for this, but i have to go on a rant cuz this is so dumb. WHY THE f*ck WOULD YOU EVER PUT A 24 ON THE BACK OF YOUR BIKE? WTF IS THE PURPOSE?? EVEN YOU SHOULD BE ABLE TO SEE IT IS A FRIGGIN CHOPPER!@!@!@!@@. a 24 does nothing, except takes off 2-3 INCHES of travel that you can have on your fork. this bike would would be fine if it maybe had a friggin dj1 on it and nothing else
  • - 1 props
flag jordys (January 2, 2007 at 15:32) (Below Threshold) show comment
rider of street...if your buysell is right then you have a norco tactic, which has a 24 out back...and yes, a 24 does improve handling in techincal terrain with a fat rear tire, and they are easier to manual with...stop flipping out, even you said it was dumb

flag chilli-biker (January 8, 2007 at 18:58) (Below Threshold) show comment
To set all you nubes straight the dirt bags are awesome frames (just got one my self) but you should not run a 24 on it. The max travel is 8 inches with a fork that weighs less than 9 pounds. When you put a 24 inch wheel on the bike it rakes out the head tube angle to the equivalent of putting a 10 inch travel fork on the bike adding unnecessary stress on the head tube. If you are in the market for a used dirt bag the price is good considering a new 07 dirt bag with the same specs for $4148 Canadian. So with depreciation 2500 is not bad. But you should remove the 24 and replace it with a 26 to reduce stress on the head tube
