Actually, that's not true in the slightest. Have you ever ridden a single crown fork through serious downhills and grabbed your front brake? It's a little freaky because that fork will flex. A dual crown will not. Hence why downhillers use dual crown forks. And dual crowns limit your trick range? Most of the stuff that I ride, you wouldn't think of doing an X-up or anything. I see no advantage to a single crown fork over a dual crown fork. Weights are similar, dual crown is still stiffer, especially when braking in rock gardens, and yes, they are stronger, albeit not by much anymore. And are most people going to be doing tailwhips and X-ups? Not really. That being said, I don't really care what you're riding. Just as long as you're riding, because that's what it comes down to.

Sick pic, awesome gap, and nice riding too.

c.o.d51- the new SC forks are way stiffer than the old ones like your shiver sc. Generally braking through rock gardens is a bad idea with any fork. Sure they are not as stiff as a 40 but as stiff as a boxxer. 66's can handle a serious beating and it looks like that is what this guy is running.
