Thats f*ckin huge!!! seen this drop in a few vids but this pic really shows its actual size. Wicked pic and theres no bitchin about how this shouldnt be a pod. sick!
I've done that, it's such a flowy drop, theres a sign on the top saying you aren't supposed to take pictures of it to respect the trail builders. sweet pic though, love the angle

6km up the road at gillard is what it means...when you're driving up the road look up...way up!! the tranny is also only as big as the picture shows, right where the picture is cut off that is where the road is....

Nice one... But, you better learn your prefixes there ace. Kilo = 1000. So, according to to you it's a 6000 meter drop.
How can we dumb this down for our American friend? 6km is the distance up the road, where you will find the drop, not the size of it. Amazing pic!!
Duh um oh yeah IT IS AT THE 6 Km mark on the way up, and is therefor known as the 6 Km drop. Obviously i am not dropping 6 Kilometers.

Thanks for all the sweet comments, I'm glad I finally got a pic of the day and the fact that it's my good buddy nato is even sweeter, this guy can rip and I'm just glad I can capture it on film. When you stand at the top of this drop the people below look like ants. He makes this stuff look easy, especially since this was his first time hitting it. Props to Nato.
great pic. just imagine if he f*cked up the landing and died. I am all for pushing limits, but gravity has effects. Too bad bodies are not built for major landings or bad f*ckups. I am not saying I can do this: I cannot.
But the last thing we need is to have some major rider die due to some small error. And this POD, my friends, is exactly how it will happen.

WA wa Do you think this is the first drop i have ridden off. The builder of this nug has built the majority of high end stunt in town. He knows how to build big stunts safe and he locked off access to this hit until the landing was perfected. Hitting it was a matter of making the corner above coasting in and enjoying the ride. Crashing off this would be melower than a 40km per hr crash down a jeep trail in your spandex.

Riders pretty much know their limits before attempting drops of this stature, plus how many times have we ate it trying crap we have done thousands of times before, you just have to stay focused, make sure the builders know what they are doing and everyone can have a fun time. plus I would rather die on a bike than in a home" taking it easy"

wut trail is that on and take the 30 foot drop on bosshog and take it and put a pic on pink bike ok ok DO IT
yo kona stinky, the drop on bosshog is certainly not 30 ft, because the 6Km is like 27. the one on bosshop is like 13 its not big its just sketchy as heck.
