It's definitely sunny all year round in Rockhampton. Can't believe how clean china still looks. Only after a few years, cars being used during winter get crusty real quick. The sand and calcium dropped on the roads to add traction will also sandblast the shit out of the cars.
...or even maybe keep hanging on to china as long as possible, it still looks new after all. How is it doing mechanically ?...I've always wanted a bronco or a jeep for off-roading and taking the top off when the weather's good. If we had your climate, I would have definitely got a project bronco a long time ago and just keep the soft top year round. Around here, you need the hard top for at least 3-4 months a year if you don't want to freeze your nutts off. Haha
Haha cute truck the bronco . We have them here but too old now . Jeep just keep blowing up here and expensive to fix but I love them . China is five now and a good reliable truck but want a bit more power and size . Saw a nice pajero at work today and they are cheap . Got a few scratches but in great nic and mechanically perfect . Just racked up 57000 km on weekend so still new bro
I like those jeep tj's too. They're mechanically simple enough so you'll be able to replace/upgrade the original parts that will crap out at some point. The parts and upgrades dedicated to jeeps is readily available from so many different sources, it's just just crazy. They drive like shit on the road and you're right, they're not that tough in original conditions but everything can be upgraded like no other vehicle out there. It's also as good as it gets to go off-roading or just trail blazing, they can get thru the nastiest and tightest spots and those things will turn on a dime. I just like the front and rear solid locking axels, that's priceless. About that Bronco, they're getting quite rare around here. Most of them are either rotting away or have been very badly preserved but the nice ones are getting very expensive because they're now considered classics. A nice resto-mod Bronco that has already been restored is the way to go if you've got too much cash. For us, poor fakkers, starting with a cheap jeep makes more sense, then replace with Dana or ARB locking differentials and low gears, good bumpers with a winch and some good rubber and you're ready to go at a fraction of the price of any vehicle around here. There's even a 2.5L 4cyl engine that's supposed to be economical but I like the older 4.0L inline 6 cylinder engine.
