change the rear shock to dhx 3.0, 4.0, or if you are pocket is deep enough the 5.0.

If you want light, go for a Boxxer. And don't take the Maxxis tires, they're heavy.

Get some DT EX5.1D rims, MTX are way too heavy, XT HT II crankset, roadie cassette 11-26, change the dropouts to 135mm

No-One knows shit. First, those aren't XC Hubs, those are just budget Dh/Fr hubs. Second, the Manitou Revox in the picture is way better than the DHX5.0. Third, the 888SL is nearly a pound heavier than the Boxxer.

Oh, and here is my suggestions- Mavic 721 rims, Boxxer WC, Direct mount stem (for either the 888 or the Boxxer), Stans No-Tubes, and ditch the pedals and the seat/post.

maxxis tires and tubes are heavy. if youre trying to save weight, go with like nevegals and not downhill tubes.

tubeless.carbon/ cut down seat post(easton). easton dowhilll carbon bars. direct mont stem. 6" rear roter and 8" front with avid code. road cassete.
