The Subaru BRAT was released in 1978 and was an instant hit for those looking to get after it in the woods. Around the same time you'd find some Klunkers doing laps in the hills of NorCal. This is a pretty iconic little rig.

I drove on of these for 5 years. Was my first car.
Such a little beast! It was so good for taking my bike places, and collecting firewood.etc
4wd in such a tiny ute was so fun. It just couldn't handle mud!
